Porsche & Tvr Rolling Road day.

Idly chatting to a couple of Porsche owners off here, we decided it might be fun to throw down the gauntlet somewhat and have a joint RR day. Details here:

We need to put a selection of Tivvers together so post up here if you are interested. Need to get about 10-12 cars for our side. Doesn't matter what you have got it's just for fun, however still really want at least a couple of big power (400+) examples so we have some heavy artillery. Good news is they will have trouble running anything with 4WD (apparently they don't like rolling roads and their diffs blow up) so we are fairly safe from monster turbo's, not that I was scared or anything

We've run 750+ bhp on 4wd, thats not the issue. The issue is that Porsche 4wd systems tend to oscillate the power back and forth, so you have to disconnect the prop shaft to the front.

I am at work on earlies on the 23rd but as I drive past Charlies on the way home I could make it around 3 o'clock.
My remapped 4.5 Cerb is typical of remap v8 (390+ bhp in 3rd more in 4th Tee hee lets start that again)
So let me know if were short of Tivvers

Doesn't it work the same way as the Skyline R34 GTR?
Technically yes, but they react very differently on the rollers.. The Porsche 4wd system on the rollers can cause violent vibration as the system tries to work out whats happenening. The Skylines react differently to being on the rollers

Well, we are looking a bit shy on interest at the moment but we do have some time. Unfortunately Charlie is making us pay our way (says it's his job or something) so if you have run it recently then I don't want you to waste your money, however if you feel you wouldn't mind checking you're still producing the figures then by all means would love you to sign up. We can sort out time slots accordingly so 3 o'clock shouldn't be a problem. Pop in anyway if passing but decide not to run.
If anyone wants to confirm attendance then just drop me mail via my profile and I will add to the list. It really doesn't matter what you have as long as it's a Tvr, despite all the bravado it's just for fun. There is also some drinks in London planned for the evening, it was Porsche boys night out originally but I for one am planning on crashing it

Wherabouts in Surrey is it? I should be picking up Emerald ignition this week so should be done for then. As it happens i have an 05 C2 as my loan car at the moment, going back next week.( a woman attacked me in her Volvo Estate!!) My normal car is a 4.6 Chimaera with a few mods. The Porker has no grunt and only goes after 6k then hits the limiter at 7.5K. Its nice though just expected more!

I think thats the weekend Mrs Fubes has decided to treat herself (or more properly, my credit card has) to one of those spa weekends. If I can get my mum to look after the dustbins I'll come along Sinc. Just wont know for a few weeks.....
