Ex Tuscan Challenge Race Cars -Where/What are they Now ?
Discussion
As per title ,it would be interesting to complile a PH list of TVR Tuscan Race Cars and there current status ,some a still racing ,some are being re-built into Sagari's etc ,some a road cars etc.
I'll start the ball rolling with the few i know about
Please feel free to update/correct and add info/pics as necessarry
Im sure there are lot's of factory/race people -past and present on PH who can add massively to the list/pics etc.
Also owners of road / track day cars which dont get much exposure ,it would be good to know what engines / specs they're running these days.
Where a "Car No" has been used more than once , i will try and qualify it with the approx year in brackets.
Car No 8
Peter Wheelers Car,ran GT Wheels, 5.0 engine ,Carbon Fibre Body parts.

Currently mid conversion to Two Seater.
Car No 23
Ex Team Britnell then Chris Stockton's car ,used to look like this ;

Conversion to Sagaris V8 Race Car currently nearing completion...

The Body from 23 was sold to a guy who intends to build a road car based on Griffith 500 running gear.

Car No 11 /82
Steve Glynn's ex factory race car (as raced by Nigel Tustain) ,currently being campigned in the Dunlop Tuscan Challenge as No 11
Still in works "82" livery here
With sister car whilst still campaigning the TVR Tuscan Challenge.
Steve is currently building a Sagaris V8 Race Car to compliment the Tuscan.

Current state of progress posted only a week or so back, off to the painters in primer.
Originally built in 1999 with a lightweight body. Raced as number 34 for a couple of seasons I gather. Getting towards the end of a total rebuild with 6.3L Chevy, TKO600 transmission, and too much else to mention... Planned to be road registered, but mostly track days on the cards plus a few sprints - non-contact motorsport
, or at least that's the idea.

I think Andy H compiled or certainly started to compile a list of all the known tuscans..
Mine was built by the Britnells as their third car, I understand it was built from a new chassis and parts.
last ran in AJP spec in the Tuscan Challenge as Number 6 Driven By Andy Holden, before being sold to me to run as no 2 in the TVRCC Challenge, Now 41 in the Tuscan challenge Class B with 5ltr rover v8.
edited to add piccy

Car No 58.
An ex factory -one carefull owner
car ,still in full race spec.
As driven by Ben Samuelson and once by Phil James re-numered 66 for the occasion.
And no doubt numerous other drivers (any info anyone ?)
Now owned by myself, and i will be attemting to be race it (as no58)- rather more sparingly -two or three times a year in the Dunlop Tuscan Challenge.
Will be kept in original but raceworthy condition (bar the odd new bonnet
).
