Has anyone replaced the battery in the key for a tuscan?
Had the key apart but cant read the number on the battery any one know what it is?
Do you know if it loses all the information as soon as the battery is taken out or say after 30s/a few minutes?
Am I better taking it to the dealer straight away or giving it a go?

Big Al.

The number is CR1220 and you need two of them, no memory in fob. You can get them from Halfrauds. they SHOULD be able to fit them, it's a simple job.

Just pulled mine apart to check the number.

Hope that helps.

Bev, It may not be the battery that is the problem. I had trouble with mine last weekend. Split the fob casing and carefully remove the small PCB. You will see a tiny red button on the componant side of the board. Press the button (without the casing on) when you are near the car. If the fob works then the tag on the underside of the fob button wasn't lined up with the red PCB button. Re-assemble the fob making sure the PCB is located properly.

Worth a try.
