A LETTER OF THANKS FROM TVR WORKERS

I receiver an e-mail today from Tony Hodson on behalf of the TVR workers. Here it is.

TVR workers said said:

On behalf of the workforce at TVR,I would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone concerned for the tremendous gesture of support shown by the TVR owners on Friday, it meant so very much to us all.
To think that people had travelled the length and breadth of the country to be there in Blackpool, the true home of TVR, to register their support for the workforce in these difficult times, was truly overwhelming.
A tremendous effort on behalf of the owners and not least the organisers, a gesture that was so very, very much appreciated by the workforce.
This is what TVR means to so many, many people and we applaud you all.
Thank you all for a fantastic and most memorable day.

Says it all, I'm sure it will bring a tear to the eye of the enthusiasts who were there. It was the least we could do for our friends (note this is the right word!) in the factory workforce. Many, many thanks for the message.

We now need to build on the momentum.

We had a great day out. And we were all totally gobsmacked with the turn out of guys and gals from the factory, I had several long chats with many of them at the pub (an especially long one with Gerbil!!)Got that man can talk!! no offence Gerbil mate, despite what your fellow workers said.( Dave Owner of a midas Gold or is it yellow? T350c). Remember me now Gerbil??
Thanks very much for those words of appreciation, you lot were well worth the long drive up from Essex.

Below is a copy of my earlier posting on another thread - I would just like to add I was amazed at the reception we received from the guys and gals in Bristol Avenue it was truly humbling and something I shall never forget and whatsmore I have been astounded at the response from everyone who was there on the day - as Winston Churchill once said

"A love for tradition has never weakened a nation, indeed it has strengthened nations in their hour of peril."

which summed up Friday for me - GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL AND THANK YOU FOR TVR it is we that are endebted to you

From a non-TVR owner just a quick 'hats off' to you guys, I saw the TV report on the interweb and was touched by your enthusiasm and their pride. Good one.
