I know of Blackpool on Waiheke Island, nr Auckland, NZ. And thats what persuaded me to post only my 2nd thread.

I've got a madcap idea of driving a TVR from Blackpool, Lancs to Blackpool , NZ, perhaps do it for charity, a show case for the cars.

The only problem is I dont currently have a TVR and they are banned from NZ (at the moment) but we could perhaps arrange some support from the local contingent.

Any takers ?

TVRPRICE,

I am aware of just over 60 Trevors in NZ. A few I'm having trouble finding again.

Can you PM me the Model and Colour of the Waiheke Car to check we have this one.

Cheers

The dutch would have you believe there is Blackpool on the Rijn..

I think they renamed the town as there are so many TVR owners living there !

when you just put Blackpool on a search in yell.com it always gives you 4 choices, one of them I think is Blackpool, Dartmouth?

Yup - that's Blackpool Sands just round the corner from Dartmouth.

Scoped it a while ago - it would make a great destination for a TVR picnic / gathering. It's right on the beach, in an utterly beautiful bay. Plus it's got a cafe and a huge car park.
And there are some nice roads in that neck of the woods

Technically there may be lots of Blackpools, but in reality, there's only really THE Blackpool

Kev! wavey
Yup - still driving your old SEAC.
It's still snarling like a rabid dog on the throttle and popping like Bisley Ranges on the over-run

I haven't modified it recently! Few minor things I'd like to do, but to be honest the SEAC is pretty well sorted and there's always something more urgent to spend the money on. I've been lusting after a 24-105mm F4.0L lens for a while and that is definitely higher up the list than tweaking the side-pipes!

The only thing that has been done recently was was a tweak to the front camber earlier in the year. It's got to be put back when it's next in for some work; currently it's bump steering for Britain. I haven't turned the radio on this Summer; not because I wouldn't, but because I've been unable to look at the dashboard long enough to turn it on and tune it in - LOL

Went to Le Mans without the SEAC. I drove the tail-lift 7 tonner needed to fetch the beer for the team; so I reckon that counts as an excuse

I see you are Tiv-less eekeekeekeek
Must admit if I had the cash for a new TVR I'd probably get a Marcos; they really float my boat
And I've gotta admit that your Westie sounds like it could be rather fun
