Went and did my test driving today.

Got on much better with the Tuscan this time round. Still preferred the drive of the Cerbera slightly but not enough to swing it. Also had a slight prob on the Cerb test drive. Throttle stuck open Not fully, but enough for it to accelerate even when my foot was off the throttle, and for it to rev out while changing gear. I pulled into layby and killed the engine. On restart it was fine. Must have been an engine management glitch.

Didn't get to go out in the Noble, as a) worried after Cerbera run, b) didn't want to really want one as just not pratical with my garage, my speed humps, no luggage etc. Maybe another day.

Anyway, put the deposit down on a Tuscan S. Told delivery likely late April/early May. Gotta decide colours now. I like Paris Blue but I also like Portland Grey and Black interior and the external and interior don't go together. So favourites at the mo is Paris Blue with Prussian Blue interior, or a darker titanium with the portland & black. Hopefully will organise a trip to the factory next week to see what is around and to finalise specs.

Cheers
Maf

Congratulations!! I ordered mine last week, so I guess they'll be pretty close to each other on the assembly line!

The next two months are going to be soooo long though!

Thanks guys.

I did prefer the Cerb drive slightly, but there were also cons.
1) outside not as nice
2) interior not as nice
3) older designer = more depreciation?
4) wouldn't fit in my garage with those big doors.
5) even though not that tall (5'11) my head touches the roof. Not comfy & claustrophobic (not bothering to speel cheek by the way)
6) roof coming off on the tusc is a nice extra

I think I might need to get mungoed after spending all that money.

ehasler, r u going up to the factory too, to choose colours?

Great feeling isn't it? Are you sleeping OK or are you like me, thinking of nothing else (hence time of this message!). Just need to tell people what's happening Ordering my T350C today and off to the factory Friday. Still undecided on colour so every moment on the road I spend looking at colours!

So many cars in electric blue (Peugeot, Nissan, MG, VW, etc). Where did they all come from or am I just "tuned in" to it now?

Good luck mate and "Enjoy" (because you're worth it!)

I chose my colours and final spec last week, and the car is now in build. I am going up to the factory to see it next Friday though! Also, did you know you can send Lisa at the factory one of those disposable cameras, and she'll get photos of your car at the various stages of build?

Congrats. You won't regret it.

I liked the Cerbera when I test drove it too but I also went for the Tuscan. Huge boot (practical), better driving position (IMHO), looks awesome (so does the Cerbie in fairness), top comes off , wife preferred it (clincher).

I hope you lads are going to bring your glistening new machines to the TVRCC Back home event may 17 and 18th.
I have a PDF of the application form for those who don't want to damage their copies of sprint.

Hi Maf,

Good to see you at the factory today! Did you manage to decide what colour scheme to go for?

Hi Ed

Got it down to 2. Either Titanium or Mist Blue. Only problem is we haven't seen the Mist Blue in the flesh anywhere. Got make the final decision sat morning. Might be a finger in the air job, but fortuately they look gorgeous in any colour.

Make sure you post up the pic the Mrs took of you with your car, see is dying to see it.

Cheers

Of course I am biased but my Tuscan S in Moonraker black and Portland grey / black leather looks great and is timeless.....I think. Some wild colours out there but living with it might be a different story....but then again, if you're buying a Tuscan, you're not exactly trying to be subtle anyway!

Well, we got to Kerridges at around 10:00am and left at around 4:00pm We did have a break for lunch though

Basically I preferred the Mist Blue, while the Mrs preferred the Titanium.

Now the Mrs has a good eye, and I trust her, so just before lunch I agree to the Titanium. At lunch we get sat with two old ladies. We asked their opinion. One liked the blue, one liked the Titanium.

Over lunch I became more convinced that Titanium was just grey, which although classy, was a bit dull. She became more convinced that what we had planned for the interior with Blue Mist wasn't going to work and it was a gamble because we had never seen it in the flesh.

After lunch it was an hour or two session of "you have what you want" and "no you have what you want"

This was closely followed by a short session of "lets have a divorce and forget about the Tuscan". We were both tired from the drive up and down to Blackpool and it very nearly all ended in

However we could tell that Kerridge Farther & Son both preferred the blue (though they were not a 100% convinced with my interior choice of prussian blue & portland with anthracite carpets).

Finally we decide on the Mist Blue and sign up. Relief all-round that a difficult decision was finally made. I think she is happy with it now she has come to terms with it. I don't think she liked the idea of non-TVR people going "lets see this wonderful new car" and then going "Oh, you got a grey one".

Right, intend to get now and then lots. I just hope we don't when in turns up!

Cheers all.
