London Thunder A1 South Convoy?

As far as I can see there are no plans as yet for a convoy in to London on the 26th from the A1 (please correct me if I am wrong)?

I guess with the M1 planned closure, many may migrate across to the A1 at some point anyway.

If there is interest, maybe a Brampton Hut (A1 / A14 services),Baldock Extras Services and a South Mimms meet then cut across to join the others at London Gateway Services for the run into London?

ohhhh descisions descisions........ I know this is the sensible option but my heart is saying join the M1 convoy at Toddington Services (London Gate is nearer to me but to near to London/North Circ to enjoy the full experience) just for the thrill of rolling/thundering down the motorway with 50 plus tivs probably the only time to be done

Hi Chauch

I already have a group so there will be more cars to join at Baldock - I'll post after the weekend when I know names and numbers. I am keeping an open mind on this meeting point though - cos' it would be fab to join up with all the Northern TVR's - so I might also be tempted to run over to the M1 - I am waiting until they finalise their route

I understand that the M1 is going to be closed overnight, so they may decide to divert across to the A1 anyway. I'm in a holding pattern for the time being.

Hi Fellow Thunderers

Should have some London Thunder Vinyls ready to send out tomorrow for every TVR on the list

I have suggested that someone near the beginning of the convoy may like to offer their services to have a delivery in advance ("signed for" so as not to lose them) so we stand more chance of getting them all on for the rally and not leave it until we get to the Ace.

Extras may be available for those who you may pick up along the way, but can't gaurantee it

Suggested collecting a couple of quid each or more, with proceeds to go to the central coffers for the day. Convoy leaders, would you mind collecting on my behalf.

Sorry I don't have time to trawl through every post to find out if you have a leader yet.

I notice you haven't decided on any timings yet, but I would like to suggest a 10am departure from Baldock Services and hope that works without messing up your plans for the convoy?
