Bad new's guys,

On the way back home from L-T my Dad and his friend Ian were involved in a very scary crash with the cerb, knowone else was involved just him, the car left him pretty much without control going round a roundabout !!

Excellent news though they've both been discharged from hospital, and are rested up nicely in bed, whilst our WRITE OFF CERB is on it's way to a scrap dealer !!
My dad is EXTREMELY BADLY BRUISED, but is walking.
And Dad's friend Ian has came out better than my Dad!!! with minor hip damage.
Photo's to follow. . . . . .

Dan

Big thanks to Stuart for taking me on board all day, and by this helped me!!! otherwise i may have been in A&E now!

Scarey - I hope they make a speedy recovery.

Looks like the passenger door impact bar did a good job looking at the dent in it. The drivers' rear looks very mashed too. Was this a solid object or another vehicle they hit (several times by the looks of it)?

Dan / Gary,

As I have said if there is anything that ginny or myself can do give me a shout.

The cerb looks a reel state, sad stuff, but as you say Ian and Gary are the important factors.

Your dad just texted me to say that he needs a hand getting out bed for a pee, as he is struggling to move...go on Dan do your bit, glad to see that he has not lost that famous sense of humour then.

I will call you later on.....as I say if either of you need a hand ......and thanks for letting me know last night too.

Pissy wet weather, Powerfull RWD car, dark night, unfamiliar roads classic Greasy Roads spin / Aquaplaining ... been there myself, when it all goes pear shaped, you are nothing but a passanger, and sometimes it can happen at the most surprisingly low speeds, and do some impressively destructive damage, especially if tired after a long days driving!

I hope your father and passanger are not too badly shaken, but i know from experiance that he will be thinking about this for a long time to come, what he could have / should have done. Truith is, probably bugger all other than not go there at all, give him some support mentally as well as for the bashes and bruises otherwise he will bash himself up inside too!

At least a car can be replaced.

sad end to a great day, hope there were impact based accidents!! - Everyone else make it home safe, no broken bones?

Very scarey all happens so quick ... I broke my Femur and had to have large pin!

Hope they recover soon ... shame to lose another cerb!

I was really pleased with how mine behaved yesterday - a lesson to us all!

Cripes, that looks terrible. Thank god they came out of it relatively unscathed.
Wish them well and a speedy recovery.

I'm surprised there weren't more to be honest. I was driving very carefully as were most TVR's around me but that didn't seem to stop other car drivers driving like idiots.

Hope they are better soon.
