Gonna start the Convoy at our end in Southampton - Time TBC

Would be nice to pick up with other regional convoys - en route

Meet at Rownhams Services East

Meet at M4 at Chieveley

Meet at M40 at Warwick

Meet at M6 Hilton Park

Meet at M6 The one just North of Manchester (Charnock I think. Gonna look it up in a mo)

Meet just outside Blackpool for a big ride into town

Anyone wanna tackle the Northern Approach ?

Charnock Richard, its the last services before Blackpool, between Junction 27 and 28 on the M6.

I might well join you guys at Crewe (M6, Jct 16). there's a littlechef/travelodge just off the junction, if someone would be as kind to take my mobile number and give me a buzz as you approach I'll get onto the motorway then!

I can imagine there will be a couple more folks wanting to do the same.

Could do similar convoy to the one for London Thunder from the NE/Scotland if anybody is interested?? Washington Serv.. Scotch corner.. Ferry bridge.. then across on the M62, maybe meet with the southern convoy somewhere near J30 on the M6??

After re-read of the above .. If theres no services at J30 could head down to J26/J27 and meet you there..

The last services heading south are at Forton (just 1 mile south of Junction 33).

Junction 32 is where the M55 joins the M6.

Your plan would involve driving down to Junction 27, doing a U turn at the roundabout and driving north for about four miles to Charnock Richard.

(It is sometimes possible to do a U turn at Charnock Richard if the barriers are up)

It would be some convoy into Blackpool!!!

If it happens then I will drive south and join you all

Depending on interest, would come down the A1, along the M62 and then back up either the M6 or M61.. could then meet up with anyone from Yorks areas.. if no interest though, shall take the shortest route!! A66 and then come down the M6...!!

Me ........but I guess as I dont arrive back from Saas fe at Gatwick until 13.30 Ill be setting off a little later than you guys......... So might even go in the Touareg. What time is the planned departure time on the Sunday??
