I've recently moved to Dublin and will be bringing my beloved Tuscan 2 out here when the weather gets better. Any other Tivvers out here? If so where do you get your cars serviced etc.?

I remember a bloke buying a V8S from somewhere in the south and driving it back to Ireland.

I just can't remember his PH name.

It was the car I'd been drooling over so it stuck in my mind. Good man for driving it all that way though.

There are absolutely loads of us North and South. Active club trackdays at least 2 a year runs out in the summer at least 3. Go karting. Celtic gathering in March this year at Berwick. Last year was Killarney- next year Northern Ireland. Welcome aboard. Email Jerry as per previous post or Colin both are ROs for the TVR club. All cars in Ireland go to Torqueflyte in Ballygowan. Oh and its our post Christmas dinner this Saturday.

That's me.

I have a Cerb.

It's one of three in the South as far as we know.

There's a good number of Chim's, a few Tuscans, a Griff, a couple of wedges, and I probably forgot some.

Oh, and Funky's new Sagaris.

I've only had mine since September and only put it on an Irish plate last week.

Our next meet is on the 27th.

And with petrol under a euro a litre (about 65 pence) in some places over here now we can actually afford to drive them.

Well there had to be some compensation for us since we are paying about €1300.00 (yes, thirteen hundred) a year road tax.

Saturday night was oh so good, plenty of TVR owners and one brave enough to drive his there.

He was not drinking, but the rest of us made up for it....

Not yet anyhow, Neil.

I was (and still may be) going to Canada to a wedding on 07-07-'07 so that would rule out any FB5K hooning.

But ....... there is a chance the wedding may be postponed for a year so I'm not sure yet.

If I do go FB5K it would be the Viking one, I like to go new places.

If I don't go FB5K I'll still take a drive somewhere, possibly Le Mans, an F1 race or a Moto GP.

I think I saw you booked for the Viking one?

Oh, and I should have mentioned, the RoI TVR club are meeting next weekend.

Give Jerry Henderson a shout and he'll tell you all the details (I still have to get them off him myself) but it is in the Cork area this time.

I like modello alot but sign up to the vip day, the other days are way too crowded. It's free and you get so much time out on the track, plus they have about 6 dates this year. www.mondello.ie and you'll find the vip area

nice one funky. I'd love to see your Sag when it's all good to go. That's going to be quite a sight out here. I kind of regret selling mine as the only more impressive sight than your Sag would have been a pair! BTW there are way too many german cars out here. I know cars are expensive but perleeeease! I saw a black XKR convertible the other day, brand new. I check out the price. Over here it's over €150k, that's quite a hike over the UK price.
