Looking to do a fun Photo shoot with TVR owners in Hants
Discussion
Update I have had to call this off, due to me not being well at all. However I will be looking to arrange single shoots in the future.
With a TVR theme for TVR's 60th anniversary, but I am not a Pro Photographer, however I am more of a hobby person. However this shoot would be done in Hampshire around the Eastleigh to Chandlers Ford way, maybe even Southampton.
If you can attend and don't mind joining in this event please email me at jamiewynder@hotmail.com
----
Theme of the shoot: 60th anniversary - If the turn out is not well, then this could just be just a shoot, however I hope it will not come to that.
Dates
Saturday 17th Feb 07 - Time: 11am till 13:30pm: Break at noon (People can however start to leave at 1pm if they wish.
Update: I am open for suggestions on other dates in Feb or just before the 23rd of April. However I can only do the shoots on weekends.
Location start point
Chandlers Ford community Club (Has a good size car park.)
After 10-15 minutes, we will be heading to some parts in Eastleigh, one place, is around the Swan Centre for 15 minutes and its multi story car park if possible.
Next we will head out to Southampton around the West Query and Water Front parts for 30 minutes.
Eastleigh, Southampton or Chandlers Ford
What will be done in the shots
Standing still shots with cars on there own and together, and moving shots, also there will be shots from the inside of the cars and engine shots.
How can I see these shots
I will be sending the shots to the owners by email, after converting the shots from Raw to BMP, however Raw takes a good 1-2 minutes to go through, but I will be taking the moving shots in 9 mega pixels JPEG.
Another thing I will be doing with the shots is uploading them to DeviantArt, with the number plates blanked out. But I will be putting together some special wallpapers
What models am I looking to take photos of
One Jomar hopefully
One of the TVR Grantura mk1 hopefully
Any of the 1960 models
Any of the 1970 models
Any of the 1980 models
TVR Griffith
TVR Chimaera
TVR Cerbera
TVR Tuscan
TVR Sagaris
TVR T350
TVR Tamora
I know not everyone will have all these models, but if we can get a good turn out, then that can be good.
Will there be any food
We can head up to a local pub during the break. However no one is allowed to drink too much, because I don't want you lot to ruin your cars, because I would cry if it happened.
----
Note: I will be keeping my eye on the weather reports, but if it rains, I hope some people who come along to this knows some good spots, where cover can be found for different shots.
What happens if the turn out is not well for a mix of models
Well I will be looking to combine a mix of shots from future Hampshire TVR owner’s club events.
Info on what tools I will be using
FinePix S9500 with 2GB Compact Flash, with write speed of Rar file done between 1 minute to 2 minutes. However Raw will be used for the non moving shots, but I will be using the 9 mega pixel fine JPEG setting for the moving shots.
PhotoShop 7 and CS2 - Photo Editing programs
Tripod - New one arriving next week.
Circular polarizer Filter - I may be looking to order some new filters, before the shoot.

If I'm around and free, I'd be happy to pootle along.
Hi Jamie,
I'm the regional organiser for Hampshire TVR Car club.
Altho I do supply the club with quite a range of photos from our county's events, you're more than welcome to bring your camera around to one of our monthly meets, we generally meet every 4th Sunday of the month at the West Meon Hut at the junction of A272 and the A32, at around lunchtime.
Hope to see you there!

Hi Jamie please allow me to offer a few words of advice, I have been involved in many photo shoots for car magazines and TV companies so have a litle experience ( I sourced or provided many of the cars used on Top Gear for the 50th anniversary programme ).
By far the most difficult part of this is getting older cars, there is not much point in having a 60th anniversary theme if all you photograph are Chimaeras and Tuscans (modern ones). Perhaps you should begin by posting this in the classics section. February is also not the best month to get a good turnout. I did an article last Feb 14th (which didn't go down too well for obvious reasons )for Classic Cars magazine in a quarry in the Malvern Hills and the weather was worse than attrocious. ps naked girls in Feb would be interesting sTeVeR

I want to get the shoot done in advanced, but do you reckon I should offer a backup date in case not many people turn up. @ woody-oTT I try and turn up for the next meeting you have, and get some photos from that to combine with the Fun shoot.

should offer a backup date in case not many people turn up.I think the point Steve was making could be sumed up by saying that my S is often the oldest car at the Hants meeting. So at a normal Hants meet you will get a good selection of S6, Cerbera, Chimaera and a few Griffs. You may be lucky and get an S and a late Wedge. However if you want to cover the pre-Wheeler years of TVR's history you may have to do a bit more organising, especially if there is risk of salt on the roads. Have fun.

I have posted up the first part of where we will be heading to for the Photo Shoot, but this weekend I will post up what places we will be heading to after the Noon break.
----
Note: If I cannot get a good turn out, then the combined method is a back up reason to try and get a good mix of shots for the theme of this shoot. Also, I will be looking to create a PDF file to include some back drop on all of the old and current TVR models, which will be sent out to the people for this theme shoot.

I'd come along for a laugh. But not particularly excited about the naked chicks - nor am I offering!
Up in Cambs though, so would probably need a bit of notice. Are you looking for big group shots or just individual cars to photograph?
I will be doing some individual shots with some owners as extra shots to combine with this special shoot, which will be made into wallpapers. And a mix pf shots all combined together in a Rar file as well.
