Bridgestone S03 PP

Hi, are Bridgestone SO3 PP still available in 205/55/15 ZR, i have these on the Griff and want to put them on my Chim, cant seem to find anyone selling them?

I was in Bush tyres and they had some - they fit the Honda S2000 apparently they even had some SO2s in !

excellent, they list them on their website but the pdf list is dated 2004 I have been searching all morning trying to fins a tyre manufacture that does tyres in the correct size for both the fron and back of a Chim, so far Just Bridgestone unless you drop to a V rating on the Front, I sure you could have insurance issues if you do that, I guess thats why the last Griffs and Chims had 16" front Wheels!

Dunlop sp9000's do them in both sizes. I have them on mine!

Spoke to a main agent today, they do the fronts but no longer do the rears, it would seem that you cannot get matching front and back tyres for Griffs and Chims anymore, unless you have an SE.

SO2's are certainly available and probably SO3's too. The thing that's not available is 'pp' and that's important. The basic SO2/3 is a harder compound and harder sidewall and they are aimed at rear engine RWD cars. I fell into the trap of buying a set of SO2's and regretted it, absolute nightmare in the wet.

I have had SO2`s and SO3`s on the back of my Griff and I would definitely avoid SO3`s, crap! Not a patch on SO2`s, IMHO!!

Echo that. I had SO2PP on my Chimaera, not bad in the wet. When I bought my Cerb it had SO2's not PP on the rear almost undrivable in the wet. Replaced them with Toyo's and transformed the car.

Have ordered a set of T1-Rs, insurenace company have no probs with V rated on the front. If the Dunlops dry up, it will be V rated or change your wheels, job for insurers either way.

Ah, ok. I knew they were to stop making them, but thought it was another month yet! Hopefully someone will start making a decent tyre for us all!

Just looked on www.mytyres.co.uk and they have both sizes in!

So can you get matching tyres for Chim's now or not ?.
I found out to cost that there are old school S02's , SO2PP's and the new S02's for S2000 with no sidewall protector.
I have 3 good old school S02's of a Griff 4-5mm going cheap if anybody wants them,i needed PP's.

Mytyres have at the moment got both sizes (dunlop sp9000's in stock) be quick though if you want any!
As far as I know, (I done a lot of research before I bought mine), Sp9000's are the only tyre you can get to match both front and back in a Z rating.
