Paignton seafront would be good, wouldn't have to do 500 mile round trip then. Weekend in Devon anyone?

Isn't the plan to do this on the track at Rockingham in August on the 60th anniversary?

Yes Sir, indeed it is. All the plans are in place by all accounts.

Definitely thumbup

4th and 5th of August at "The Rock" (I think from now on we need the Carlsberg voice over man or Tommy Vance RIP to say that phrase! cool )

Rehearsal on the 4th (there will be ALOT of cars there to marshal - we have to get this right)shout

Attempt on the 5th in between the challenge races (would be interesting while they race!!)

The MR2 boys and girls had a go a few weeks ago at Rockingham and have kindly let us take advantage of their "lessons learnt" readitphone

Plus of course, lots of beer, camping (Le Mans revisited?), track action, RR sessions, T - o - W, Auto tests, drag challenge, rides, demo's, traders, sideshows/experiences. Huge amount of extra detail in the next week

What is the current world record? I know Smart Cars are claiming they held the world record of around 1,700 in July '05

They attempted a new World Record on 6th May but I can't find any details. I know they were expecting more than 5,000 cars.

yes
Lots of red-tape and beurocracy required to get the attempt approved. The TVR CC will do a great job at Rockingham, and no doubt smash any record in place. Good luck guys.

Chris? £50 per ticket? Are they going for a premium now? WOW, I know sales are going well, but they MUST be in demand to fetch that money Brilliant! thumbup

Good luck, even so I do hope the record is broken. If not we'll think of some other way to do it.

Get real, my Dad lives there.
If we decended on Paignton half the buildings would collapse with the vibration.
But then again most of the locals would never hear us!
