Colin Parry - RIP
Discussion
I have just heard the very sad news that Colin Parry, the ex RO of North London,Herts & Bucks, has died, possibly from a heart attack.
He was my first RO - possibly one of the longest serving ROs - and was one of the main influences in my decision to rebuild my 3000M. He was good friend and I'll miss his wisdom.
For those who knew Colin, a good friend is no more. My condolences to his family and friends.

Very, very sad news indeed.
Colin was at the Continental Meeting last weekend, meeting some of the many friends he made over the many years he was RO for North London Region (now expanded to Bucks, Middlesex & Herts/Beds Regions). He was very proud of his early membership number and, although no longer an RO, was very active in promoting the club. He will be greatly missed.

This is terribly sad news.
My family has known Colin for many years and my
brother had spent a lot of time with him recently
as he prepared to buy another TVR, a Griff.
I met Colin again for the first time in years just 10
days ago at the regional meeting and he was genuinely
excited that I was finally going to enter the TVR
world and as we parted, he said "See you next month
in a Cerbera" He saw right through me.
Life can be very cruel.
Deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.

That is terribly sad news. Colin was THE first person I met in the TVRCC down at an Xmas do in Weymouth (Moonfleet Hotel) some 7 or 8 years ago. He bought Denise and I a drink, insisted we join the North London gang on their table for dinner and he remained a friend ever since. Colin really was a really genuine nice guy, the life and sole of the party on most occasions and didn't deserve the luck he'd suffered over the last year. A sad day indeed.

As has been said - this is truly sad news. Colin was the most politicaly incorrect flirt on the planet. After trying unsuccessfully for half an hour to get my missis onto the dance floor at the last xmas party we had, he ended up with two spoonfuls of crispy sweet and sour chicken stuck to his DJ.
What a sad day indeed.

i`m shocked to have heard the news of Colin`s passing, i`ve known him on and off for many years as my previous TVR`s have come and gone. when i first met him he was running around in a superbly scruffy grantura which had a big primered repair on the back where a motorbike had hit it. if my memory serves me correct (though with time it may not) he called it gertrude and we used to meet at a pub (the fox?) at the end af a long winding lane in the middle of nowhere which had an outside loo (bl**dy freezing in the middle of winter). i always remember those times with a smile and Colin was as always great fun to be around, he will be greatly missed by everyone who had the fortune to have known him. ----martin
