I was told at the factory visit that the customer T440R should be ready in a month. It will not have the sequential six-speed box as it's still being developed/tweaked but will be fitted when available (no date fixed).

Was also told there is a possibility of ordering a supercharged 4.2 engine (about 550bhp ). HHC are currently enquiring further with Danielle at the factory about this option. Will let you know of the outcome.

Cheers

Dan

Great Pictures!

I love the side-hinged window on the T440R.

Are those Targas as pronounced in the flesh as they look in this pic?

If they are IMO I also think they look odd. I thought they would have been fitted flush. Give me the T350c with aircon anyday.

All IMO opinion of course

Don't like the T either, it's a real shame as I had high hopes. Wait until the T350 convertible comes out then.

The R is a real animal, I love it. Would be nice to have it with a detachable roof like the standard Tuscan, that would be perfect (not that I can afford it).

Well I like it - looks like a batmobile with those panels. I'd rather this than 2 humps in the roof. Makes a feature out of the panels. Well cool IMO.

Just like our close-ratio Tuscan S boxes I expect...

Still waiting for mine, a year and a half on...

I hope they don't cock-up like (IMHO) on the 350C - unlike the older cars, these things are a feast for the senses with the materials and the way they've made parts... apart from the bog-standard gas rams that lift the tailgate. Doh. Spoils it a bit, anyone agree? (Though I don't have a solution...)

Push the concealed brass button under the rear skirt and helium is released into a chamber cunningly incorporated into the glass sandwich, thus opening the tailgate without the need for gas struts.

To close it - don't know - maybe a big lead weight on a bit of string?

Gemini,

The T440R shown here (in iced blue titanium, I believe) is the first customer car and is indeed the Harrogate customers car. I'm the one ordering through Hexham. There is approx 30 on their order books. BTW the design of the design of the optional 19" alloys has changed and is now similar to the original Cerbera 4.5 alloys (forgot to take pics - doh!) - also chrome effect not an option!

With regards to the T350T roof panels, I thought they looked quite cool - makes a feature of it rather than trying to blend them in.

Seems like I'm in the minority but I like it......still need to see it in the flesh and see what its like inside. Whats the securing arrangements and how long does it take to remove the panels ???

Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take pics of the inside, Lisa said that it was yet to be finalised. From what I could see of it though, it seemed like there were approx 8 clamp mechanisms securing each panel. But I stress this might bear no resemblance to the final product. First Targa version scheduled to be out in less than two weeks.
