Simple, Unrestricted Cerbera Speed 12 versus Unrestricted T400R. We'll say rolling start at silverstone, who wins? 1,2,3, GO!

Are we talking about a flying lap, 1 hour race or longer?

My gut is the T400R would beat the Speed 12 on all, although the right lap with the right driver in the right conditions could see the Speed 12 take it.

I think we'll say one lap. so thigns such as fuel compsum[tion odn' come into play. I'm purely trying to find out which would be quicker round a track.

Okay so the correct answer is:-

Silverstone GP

Both cars in their optimal set up with the same driver and identical conditions.

The Speed 12 wins by about 5 seconds.

My concern was that the traction issues with the 12 would put it behind the T400R but with modern tyres have solved a lot of this. The 12 also has better areo.

I would have to say that new tyres have indeed solved these issues (I realised this when I learnt that the Veyron has over 800bhp of it's 1000+ going through the rear wheels). However, the 12 is a pig to steer, and I do know the drag coefficient of the T400R is very good. Having said this I don't know what the drag coefficient on the 12 is, anyone know?

Don’t forget the modern tires would also help significantly with the 12’s overall handling, not just the bit about getting the power down.

I don’t know if the 12 ever made it closer to a wind tunnel than one of the mechanics sneezing in front of it, but don’t confuse drag with overall aero performance.
