Hi all,
I have had Racing Reds fitted to my car, which have now been properly set up, corner weighting, balancing etc. One thing I can say is wow what a difference, far less twitchy, sits far better on the road cornering, a lot stiffer than the previous setup but not uncomfortably so. Much more stable at high speeds, to be honest I can't really fault them. I will be doing a track day in the Isle of Man Saturday week, I will let you all know how I get on afterwards.
Big thanks to Derek (Ab Shocks) going to great lengths to set the car up beautifully.

I was the test Griff which was used by Derek (ab shocks)/Guigliamia to set the Gaz dampers set up at the off....... thinking of switching to the Racing Reds...i need to try the diff which Derek will let me do..... whilst the gaz is great for road use i think it can be improved on without the invetsment into £1-2k's.....

Yep there have been some horrible delays with RR's that have stopped the first kits going out on time and the phones have been red hot (no pun intended), we did spend a lot of time fine tuning the valving to give the best compromise we could get.
Looking at the previous comments I agree entirely, Racing Reds are not re-inventing the wheel and will not be suitable for everybody but they are designed to give a good fast road performance with the fast response that only a monotube can provide and those wishing to try a trackday or ride drive course will have the facility to increase damping force to stiffen up the car.
I haven't had the chance to go out with Dean in his Tuscan yet to fine tune the car for his personal driving style and I will, it may be that turning down the shocks 2 clicks all the way round may suit him better.
For those people who want a bespoke set-up for more serious driving there are many options, Nitron,Ohlins and Intrax all offer variable valving and spring rates for the trackday stars and these will suit those customers better.
Lastly I would like to give a big thank you to Warren and Brian at Topcats, Steve Howard at the Top Gear Technology Centre and Dean Hayes for lending me his Tuscan for 4 days because without their help we would still be going backwards and forwards with valving solutions.

Very keen on getting any feedback on these - considering my options on suspension at the moment.
On my VX220 I have expensive shocks but never actually adjusted them - not sure I 'tinker' enough to justify Nitrons etc.
Racing Red seem to have a lot of people interested but everyone is waiting to her reviews.
Seems to me they would do well by some independent testing and reviews.
At the moment Protech are winning in my mind due to their 3 year guarantee - hard to beat that confidence in a product over a measly 1 year guarantee.
