You lucky, lucky,lucky,lucky,lucky,lucky, etc.

Knowing the import duty. I'd ship your Chim over and bring it back when you're done. If you are ever done. Damn damn damn. The only thing I'd miss is my wife - who I would not have met if I hadn't moved back.

Enjoy it mate....really. You can have just the best time over there. Post and let us know how you are getting on....

Look in the back of Sprint, there is a RO in Melbourne, he could probably help. Watch out for import duty it could be 25% or higher

Pretty expensive and laborious.

Was going to do it myself last year until I decided to come back.

I occasionally see second hand chimaeras and griffiths for sale in Sydney. I'm not sure how they get here, perhaps they were brought over by people when they migrated here (as a "personal import"), or maybe they originated from the Malaysian factory... I also believe that TVR did try running a dealer here for a brief period a few years ago, but i think that has finished.

Noticed one for sale on this site
www.toyshop.com.au/main.htm

"1999 TVR Chimaera in stock now! British racing green metallic over doeskin full hide. $80,000 o.n.o. Hosting a 4.0L V8 power plant, aircondiitioning, p/steering, p/mirrors, p/windows, alloy wheels. NSW registration number TVR-40L. This vehicle will be sold with 12 months registration and a 3 year unlimited km warranty"

The "3 year unlimited km warranty" sounds interesting!
