Just had a look at the advertisement; is it just me or is the window larger than the original (my precat at least)? Maybe the window was bigger on the 500s?

If you look at the Griff pages BallasticBanana has done an excellent guide to fitting the roof and shows before and after. Window appears to be the same size.

It looks about the same size as my standard one on my 500 so I wouldnt say the new roof is any different.
As for precats I dont know.
