Hi Folks......this is the Mid Essex schedule for the convoy to Brands on 28th September.

The racing starts at 10o/c...we plan to be there for just after 9o/c

The first pick up point is at the Brentwood/M25 roundabout/junction by the Little Chef and Petrol Station.
Beware large hump on entrance to Little Chef (best to use the exit!!!)

Meet here at 8o/c for a prompt departure at 8.15
Steve Hobdell (light blue Tuscan S) will be coordinating at this point and will lead the convoy to

Thurrock Services....to arrive at 8.30am for a prompt departure at 8.45 for Brands.

Alan Manson (Alf Chameleon Tuscan S) will be co ordinating at Thurrock and Alf will lead the convoy to Brands to arrive just after 9o/c.

So

Brentwood/M25 Junction... 8o/c leave 8.15 Steve Hobdell

Thurrock..8.30....leave 8.45 Alan Manson

Arrive Brands just after 9

I have no doubt that our Kent friends will join us at some point in the procession.....

Diane and I will already have travelled to Kent for the AGM the previous day....so how about we meet you all outside CDL's pit garage at 9.30.

My thanks to Steve and Alan for their help.

Look forward to seing you all there. ....

Should be there - if anyone is having breakfast at the little thief beforehand, if you check out Multimap's web site and print off one of their maps there is a voucher for 25% off all meals at Little Chef.

Okay...I've amended my times from the Little Chef.

Apparently Steve Hobdell was going to find it difficult to leave the Little Chef at 8.30 and arrive at Thurrock Services at 8.30 !!!!

Can't see what all the fuss is about personally........he has a Tuscan S after all!!!!

Seriously....the times are right now...apologies Steve.

Thanks for the tip re Brekkie Big M...hope the back's a bit better....

I will be sending out the details re Brands in a mail during the week....about 20 cars booked so far so should be a good deal of support for C.D.L.

Sounds good, can we join your convoy Pauline?

Might take in an early breakfast at the Little Chef too.

Go create some weather...

Doh! I'd forgotten a birthday party.
I'll still be there (and probably with the convoy), but it's going to be another seriously early morning .

Bringing this back again for all those who never read the mails I send out..

The convoys will leave on promptly on the departure time so please ensure that you allow for traffic holdups.
I believe a contingent of die hard racegoers will be brekkying at the Chef too.

Just be there in time for departure cos they won't wait....too many cars involved.

See you Sunday.

Yep not waiting for slow coaches

I will also be peeling off to go into the paddock entrance as am guest of our CDL Racing guys....the rest of convoy will need to continue onto the appropriate entrance. Not sure where the bank entrance is but sure someone will know and they should follow me so that they will end up leading up to the right entrance after I have gone.

Alan.

just spoke to Brands Hatch. They knew nothing of the arrangements of TVR's parking on the South Bank (obviously, as you'd expect) but they said the most appropriate entrance was the main gate ? Does that sound right ?

Yep - if the South Bank is what I'm thinking of (behind the pits, between Druids hairpin and Surtees), then you turn right almost as soon as you go through the barriers at the ticket booths, and follow the road round behind the medical centre, and over a couple of bridges.

I have just been back on the phone to the Brands Hatch Operations Dept. They informed me that that the staff in over the weekend have all been notified of the arangements. A briefing document has been sent out to all staff and TVR parking was on that document.

They also confirmed that the track to the south bank has been "Graded" ready for our arrival.

So the deal is arrive at the main enterance and you will be directed to the south bank where parking will be free. The enterance fee for the day with be £10 payable on the door.

I hope everyone has a good weekend race watching.

Hi all

As our mob are coming from all directions in London/Kent, its probably best that we meet you there rather than try to meet on route.
Have a good run, see you on the south bank.

After months of looking forward to this day, here I am
stuck in the office working.

Having worked until 3am this morning and after 3
hours sleep, I was up for it, but it was not to be.

Hope you had a great convoy and that the racing
was what we had all hoped it would be.

Go create some weather...
