No chips or engine mods in any way as far as I know
Basically my cats were a crumbling mess so out they came, all of them main cat, and pre cats, and somehow joolz 'forgot' to put any back in
It always sounded louder than most Chimaera's anyway before for some reason, but now it's just comically loud, I always end up laughing to myself saying this can't be legal
Nice car by the way, I keep looking at James's stock and some of the new Chimaeras look tempting but I know nothings going to be as loud as mine unless I upgrade to a sports piped, de-cated cerbera

Mmmmmm the bill for everything that was done at the same time was quite large, but then there was a lot of 'stuff' done, it just all came at the same time, tyre's, suspension, HT leads, cats, battery
Shouldn't need much spending on it now once I've got the windscreen wipers working again, and the, and the, and the.....

Just changed from Green Flag back to the AA.
Green Flag wanted £211.00 p/a for joint membership and the AA have taken £140 from me on a joint membership and this is on the drivers and not the cars.

There appears to be a lot of emphasis on price, when what you want to know is, who will get to you the quickest and will they know know what they are doing with a TVR?

One week after buying my first TVR (S3) I broke down one evening in the dark. I was a member of nothing, I only had a credit card and a mobile. I called the wife who gave me the AA's number and I joined there and then from the car over the phone. (Cost £126 membership and emergency callout and worth every penny)

The breakdown truck arrived in 30 minutes and fixed the car. Problem was a random short occurring in the alarm circuit wiring that was blowing the fuse to the coil.

Unfortunately, the fix was only temporary and I broke down again nearer to home. The same AA man was back to me in 10 minutes, got me going again and then followed me home. He then spent another 45 mins on my drive until he found the source of the problem and explained to me how I could fix it myself.

Whilst talking I learned that he had recently attended an AA training course to update him on all the new TVR's.

The motto of the story is, forget the price, think about the service and join the AA!

I've never had a problem with the RAC, I used to get it free with my insurance, called them out a few times, once for a wayward cir-clip on the clutch pedal, but mostly just for battery problems, so not exactly taxing, and they've always been quicker than the quoted time
Last call out was for a problem on racegirls dad's festa, starter motor wiring problem sorted quickly, so can't fault them, just very wound up by the treatment they give existing customers compared to new customers, by renewing in racegirls name as a joint policy at our new address we can get joint cover for the same price as my single policy renewal

www.cheapest-breakdown-cover.co.uk/#

Just found that link though and that come out at £59 for a higher level of cover, anyone heard of EUROP ASSISTANCE ?

I recommend the AA - they will also pick you up from track days. They run their own low loaders and the guys know their stuff.

Getting my Noble back from Wales where I'd bent a wheel on a track day was entertaining but the AA did it without complaint and without any damage to the car.

When my Griff stopped pumping fuel I got an AA van within 30 minutes, and the guy found the fault within 10 minutes.

Probably not the cheapest but the service I have received so far has been excellent.

Raceboy, Europ assist is used by Citroen I think. Nothing wrong with it - they hike the price as well though! My dad was with them for years until they took the pi$$.

Uses franchised garages rather than their own fleet of trucks though.

I would recommend the AA.
They have also a parts insurance similar to a warranty. £52 for the year, and you are allowed up to £500 per claim, maximum 3 claims per year. You have to nominate one car.., I've three cars, but as i've got a TVR, then no guessing which one I chose. Haven't yet claimed, but will be doing.
