I had my first test drive today in a Chimera. Although I am sure some of you may take issue at what I found, the following is a summary of my own personal findings and opinions:

1. I did not like it
2. It was not all what I had been led to expect
3. I thought it was supposed to be fast?
4. The cockpit area was too congested
5. It was very difficult to get out of
6. The overall design left much to be desired
7. Anyone thinking of buying one is a sad individual
8. Overall I think the Chimaera is b*ll*cks
9. See 1. I absolutely loved it
10. See 2. It was far, far better
11. See 3. It wasn’t fast, it was awesome
12. See 4. If that other bloke got out I’d have much more fun
13. See 5. They had to prise me out kicking and screaming
14. See 6. Say no more
15. See 7. And will continue to be till they get one
16. See 8. The dog’s b*ll*cks

Sounds like another TVR owner-to-be...

Everyone keeps mentioning that stupid grin, but it's oh-so-true... i actually TRIED to drive in it without smiling... but the looks you get, and the kids pointing.... it's probably impossible not to grin, or smile... its wonderfullllllllllll!!!!

Hope you'll be in your very own one soon... instead of "borrowing" them all the time

Only for the left leg, probably because most of the bends were right-handers

Let me guess - you write cryptic crosswords, right?

I hope both of you are OK!

Good point - should have thought of that one! Just too exhilarated to be thinking straight. I feel a major haemorrhage of the wallet coming on soon.

You could always try driving the price down on account of the stained seats and the funny smell.

It was a 4.5, blue with pas, very, very nice. Saturday is in a 5.0 - I can feel my testicles shrinking even now

Sure that you will love the 5.0 just as much, if not a bit more.

Combination of my budget and the age/milage/condition that I wanted meant that I was limited to a 4.0 but have loved it to death.

Whichever model you choose, I'm sure you'll love it too as both are very quick. Keep us updated.

Never mind, TVRs have their own set of knackers to complement yours! After my then-girlfriend got out of the Griff after her first trip, she said with a grin 'It's a boy!'
