I’m looking to get a 1992 Griff recarpeted throughout – preferably in the South East somewhere. Anyone got any first hand experience as to who is good and who to avoid ?

The preacher had his Chim done last year, looked a nice job.
Why not drop him a mail via his profile.

Hi.

I've a 92 Griff to be re carpeted as well. I plan to send it off to Leven to have all the shiney extras added once the carpets are done as well.

Would appreciate knowing what you find out as I was just going to give it to Barnet to do but they are not likely to be the cheapest.

TIA

Just called Tower View and spoke to Mark. Seems very friendly. Planning to drop in next Saturday to have a look around.

Have quoted 530+VAT for full re-carpet. Strikes me as very fair.

Try A&R Pound in Baldock, Herts I had mine done last week and it cost me £250 and they did a very good job! Mines a V8S, a Griffs interior cant be that much bigger??

As with all things, check the quality of the carpet being offered by companies to compare apples with apples.

If you know someone who is handy with a sewing machine you can do it yourself.

If you dont mind cutting out all of these!

i originaly used them a year ago for the carpets and quality is second to none, seems that a few others had used a&r aswell and left feeling very happy. iam off to get my roof done next month aswell. he just charges realistic prices and not over inflated ones.

Mike.

Just spoken to Fred. Price depends on type of carpet. Type of carpet seems to depend on how much the car leaks. Going along to have a look. Thanks for the info.

Anyone know of similar people in the Yorks / Manchester area I'd be grateful for the nod. I think it's one way you can make a big improvement in the look of the car without massive expense.

May be we should all target someone and see if we can get a bulk saving.

Be interested on your findings at A&R as inflation seems to have set in - was quoted £350 to £520 depending on carpet, for a V8S.

Just picked up my V8S Tuesday from A & R Pound - £375 fully re-carpeted in "blue wilton" with magnolia binding, the price also included a small seat repair as well. Haven't had a chance for a really close look yet, it was absolutely p*ssing down when I collected it but first impressions were good. Got "high" on the glue smell on the drive back though!
