Took the Tuscan S around Bedford today and what a great track! Had great instruction from Steve Lewis (TVR Tasmin Driver and instructor) would recommend him and has certainly improved my driving on the track today.

To top off the day I can't believe I went 5 laps with Justin Wilson in the JaguarJP1 (Le Man car)....great guy and, oh my god, never have I been in something so fast and sitting next to a F1 driver!!! Justin's car control is just awesome and I had total confidence in his driving even though the car was doing things I didn't know was possible. Pics following link;

i don't know if you asked him but i would have begged him to thrash the pants off my tuscan with me in the passenger seat!! to see how its really done and the ability the car really has

how often do they do days like this? i know of a few people who would be very interested in a day like this. what sort of cost are you looking at?

one other thing,how fast is the jp1?way faster than a tuscan s?

you lucky lucky lucky sods!

have done Bedford and the JP1s a few times as the driver, but would pay serious £s to be a passenger with a driver of Justin's ability...

Let us know in advance next time please !

Oh its faster!! (it just sticks to the road) With the downforce it generates + in the hands of someone like Justin its a very fast car mainly around the corners.

This may have been a one off with Justin as he is in between looking for drives + a chance to earn himself some money for sponsorship I guess. It was £99 a go for 2 laps but was so good (+ to be driven by a F1 star don't come around to often) so paid again for 2 more laps and Justin gave me an extra lap on top of that as he hit some oil on the track and screwed up a corner....so wanted to prove he could take it quicker next time around ...and believe me he did!!!

Hi Alan - I can second Alan's sentiments. For me it was the braking that took my breath away. TVR's accelerate hard so it takes something really special to surprise you in that sense. But under braking it's a whole new ball game. We were flat out way, way, way, past the point you'd be braking in a road car. Then just a brief period of serious retardation, down a few ratios and bang, through the apex power hard on and corrective steering action. Mind blowing!!

Yep - especially in the hands of an F1 driver!

I was there too, and went for a JP1 ride with Justin as well. He was going past everything out there like it was standing still, but the most impressive thing was the sheer grip that this thing had - the brakes were awesome, and slicks and wings meant serious cornering as well.

Hey Ed, I forgot to ask you if you went out with Justin...you didn't mention it later in the afternoon. Did you get someone to take some pics for you as I would have returned the favour!

Can't wait to see the pics you took of me.

Hi Washy, how did you get on yesterday?

No problems with the noise or did you have to don the ACT cans?

Hi Graham,

No noise troubles but then I didn't give it 7200rpm this time. I'll keep the cans anyway just in case.
