Well folks, for those of you who noticed the event, posted on here and in Sprint, its now history...we've been.

No words will quite describe how good it was, good food, good company, excellent track day and wonderful fluid organisation that allowed people to be as involved as they wished.

The track at Gaudix is very technical, but with 10-12 cars at the track day, time was available for everyone to learn and enjoy. Cars behaved wonderfully throughout the trip, with the exception of a radiator failure on one of the V8 engined cars, but repairs were undertaken, and the car and contents joined us later in the trip.

It is hoped by all that attended, that this will become a yearly event. Those who couldn't attend this year, or weren't too sure - keep the diary free for March 2005!!

Photos and possibly videos will posted on a web site still to be set up - by some one more PC literate than myself!!

Thanks again to Jasper Gilder for the organisation, and for all those involved for making the trip so memorable.

How’s that for coincidence!!

I have just posted in the General Gassing about 5 minutes ago, passing on our appreciation and gratitude to Charles and Amaya for all the hospitality they showed us in Vitoria.

Please form an orderly queue for next year's event.

I may even bring my TVR.

Guys

I'm a little overwhelmed by all the nice stuff you've written about the trip. Classic and Sportscar will carry a piece and so will 'Everytheing Spain'

No question about going back next year - schedules will be out September time. As Easter is earlier next year do you want to go before Easter - a week earlier? or Post Easter. As promised, if the numbers reach 20 cars we'll book the circuit for two days to keep the numbers sensible.

By the way - organising this for you guys was one of the most enjoyable and satisfying things I have ever done - thank you all for making it such a triumph!

'Everytheing Spain'

- that's the Spanish pronounciation.

Thank you, Jasper, for organising such a great trip. The pleasure was all ours. Roll on 2005.

I would go for post Easter, the only problem with that is we've longer to wait.

Sorry Roy

What would be the cost implications of going after Easter? Also if there are two track days, we would like to do one day each

Also we rather like the fact that there weren't too many ankle biters around! If we went after Easter, would they be around more?

Hi guys

Implications of after Easter are it might be more expensive as Paradors's move into a new pricing band in April and you can't negotiate with them, I'm thinking about trying to do a trip each side of Easter, one for you guys and one for another club if I can find one who is interested, but obviously TVR's get first choice.

The idea of two track days was to keep on track numbers low so we don't have to do groups, so we would have 12 cars at each day. If anyone wanted to do both days I guess we'd charge them a premium equivalent to what the Spanish locals paid for a day. Ideally we would have a novice's day and an 'experienced' day - but that obviously depends on the numbers

The trip gets a write-up in the "Clubs" section on Classic & Sports Car Magazine (June 2004 Issue).
