Steam!

Been out for a run today, after an hour just parked up in the Cerb had steam billowing out of the bonnet!
Popped the hood & the fans were running but could only see water / steam coming from the water header tank area, obviously could not check it thoroughly do a lack of protective clothing! Left it to cool totally, then re-filled it. Went for a short run after warming her up & the fans kicked in on time etc without any of the above?

Loose filler cap?

Totally confused as I cannot see any leaks anywhere!

Sounds like a dormant airlock shifted. I had this happen a few months back
and it's been fine since.

The car has been stood for a while before I fell for her. Could that cause it?

I've heard that mentioned before as the possible cause.
