I use Meguiars in the bath, lathers really well, better than imperial leather, and makes you smell lovely like a TVR. As for car washes, dont do it, you won't put your porker through one would you?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6sAbZaCmyI

Putting ANY car through a car wash is asking for trouble not just TVR, unless of course you like the look of a fked up paint finish.
The manual car wash's you see around the place now [usually on old filling station car parks] are WORSE!!! See them washing the wheels with all the brake dust crap and then the bonnet, then another wheel and then the doors, then the sills and then the roof
Wash it yourself, wash it properly and take some pride in doing so.

Depends how you value your time I suppose. I'd rather not tie up hours of my weekends cleaning the car over and over again, and instead just have it cleaned and every year and a have have the paintwork detailed.
I'll bet my 911 has far less scratches and swirl marks than most cars on here as I had the paint detailed in Jan for £300.
