WOW that's some re-ferb they look fantastic as good as if not better than new, seems a shame to put them on the car and risk getting them near any curbs!!

They look superb! Did they split the rims, repaint the centres and replace the bolts for that price?

Very, very nice. Must get mine done, but need to save up first. Don't mind paying for a job as good as that.

From the photos, do they still remain as shiney when you unplug them ??????

In answer to the questions :

The wheels have been split , but as OZ will not /cannot supply the seals , they have been reused , and oversealed with hi pressure / high temp silicone sealant . This is an aviation Mil Spec , and as that is my background I have no worries about it .

The bolts have been re plated and re used .

A bit of background on the company : they used to have the contract for polishing all Wolfrace new production wheels , so a bit of experience.

Tony the owner recommends , only soapy water for cleaning , and has given me details of a special wax to protect them with .

Now I'm looking for an old set of wheels and tyres to keep these for best !!

Back in Cheshire , so as promised here are the protective wax details . Never come across this before , so cannot pass comment , but as it was recommended by the guy who did the wheels , am loathe to ignore his advice ,

Wheel Wax , £19.99 per tub , contact tel , 0870 0808182 .

If anyone has used it before , would be interested in comments .

Never seen it or heard of it but I'll get a tub to see if it's any good. I'm fed up with trying to keep the polished aluminium rims from getting cruddy every two weeks. £19.99 seems a lot but if it does the job, then I'll not mind shelling out.

Thanks, Neil for the info.

Thought I'd add this as a comparison. I had the wheels on the S refurbed back in April. Now, they're not split rims, but thought it might be useful to keep these things in a similar thread.

Work was done via David Batty (The Garage, Compton) and I understand he send the wheels to "Spit 'n' Polish"...

Wheel referbishment - £192.00 + VAT

I was advised to keep them clean using normal car wash stuff (in my case Autoglym) and use standard car waxing polish (Autoglym again).

Very happy with the results...

neil, I was back down at Peninsula last saturday evening, talking to Richard Smith, and Picking up my 400SE. We had a good chat about your rims and I had a chance to inspect them close up.
Certainly the buisness. Mine are scheduled for a trip to Bridgend when i get back from Le Mans.

A question to N Hyde: when your wheels were refurbed, did they put a chrome finish on the split rim bolts themselves or just a silver finish.
Mine have just come back from peninsula with a silver finish, but looking at the photos of your they look chrome.
