Would any of you guys be interested in a TVR meet at Donnington Park? It would make the ideal location, as there is plenty of parking and it is pretty central.

I have already suggested it in the S section, and so far 6 people are up for it. I thought I would open it up to the rest of the TVR clan.

I have suggested Sunday 27th January at the moment.

If you are interested, e-mail me, or just post a reply on here.

Cheers,

Paul.

I presume a Chimp owner would be welcome?
The pub at Donington is inside the paddack area,(Redgate Lodge) not sure if you can get access to it on a non race day, or whether it's even open, or is there a pub in the Donington F1 collection museum?
Maybe if we pre-book we can get discounted entrance, a few years ago they did 2 for 1 for TVRCC members.

I've added it to the calendar so anyone interested can sign up - that will give a rough indication of numbers.

Where abouts are we meeting as I don't know Donnington too well, even though I live in Derby. Are we just going for a drink, is there anywhere for food any racing on? What do people intend to do?

raceboy,

it is a good point that the little pub might not be open if nothing is going on at the track. Perhaps it would be best to meet somehwere before hand for some food. There is a Harvester off junction 23 of the M1 which would be easier for people to find. After a bite to eat we could all then drive up to Donnington.

Just a thought, let me know what you think.

Paul.

You've got no chance of getting on the track, there is usually some sort of activity going on though, driver training etc, if this is the case you've got little chance of getting infield without prior notification, but it's not to difficult to arrange, lots of magazines use it as a photo back drop.
I am told there is a bar in the museum area though so this may be an idea to chase up?

During the 27th January, A dirt bike show is being held, i have never been to Donington Park, so i guess that is in the middle of the track. shouldn't think that would stop us though. Are we meeting at the service's, or at the track and at what time are we looking at? thanks. oh and whats the plan this will be my first tvr meet so what will we be doing?

Wheres the info about the dirt bike show come from, theres nothing on Doningtons web site for that day?
If theres an event like this on, it will be packed with MX people in there white vans, and pick-ups thrashing about!
Not to mention the bikers!
Regarding meeting points the place is probably the newish services at junction 23A/24, up the duel carrage way (from either junction, and its the turning off the island before the donington one, or meet at the circuit and take it from there, but if there is an event on it will be busyish!

Ok lets all meet at the Donnington Services at 23A, shall we say 12.30? I am sure that there will be plenty of room to park up even if there is an event on. There is a motorcrss track in the middle of the circuit. If any one has any problems with this time, post a reply.

Should be a good meet,

Paul.

Sounds fine to me, as long as the B@$t@rd cars fixed by then, the battery is currently lasting about 12 hours between charges, having another bash at fixing it tomorrow
