Well, it's hard to believe that Alf Essex and I started the Mid-Essex TVRCC convoy a year ago... but the second Sunday of the month is approaching, which means that it's time for a convoy to the Mid-Essex meet! on Sunday 9th May.

Meet at the White Hart
As usual we will be meeting at the White Hart from 11:00. The landlord has once again kindly agreed to open up for us, which means you can grab a quick drink , have a before heading off to the meet at Great Totham at around 12:00...

Directions to the White Hart
Got a TVR and never been on the convoy, or to the meet..?!?! Want to know how to get to the White Hart...?

1) Take the A12 towards Colchester (again, you pass under the A12 first)

2) Turn off at J19 (Boreham) – keep in the left-hand lane.

3) Take the 2nd exit (the first takes you to the Royal Mail sorting office!)

4) Follow the road, it turns to a 40mph

5) The White Hart is on your left a few hundred yards further on.

6) If you get to the roundabout, you have gone too far..!

... or just look up the address at www.multimap.com - White Hart, Colchester Rd, Springfield, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 5PG

Given that we now attract a fair bit of attention at the White Hart, can I ask that everyone takes it easy on the entrance to the car park... especially as the White Hart has a big kids area... and I don't fancy explaining to any parent why their first-born is under the wheels of Blackpool's finest, so please take it easy..!!!

Other stuff!
So come along and join the convoy... it's a bit of a laugh rumbling through the villages of Essex, and the noise and attention that we get as we head towards the meet is astonishing.... and when you get there it's good to know there is a great carvery available..

If you've got any questions about the convoy, drop me a line via my profile - and for TVRCC stuff, drop Yellow Peril a line...

In order to help with the catering arrangements please post if you're going to come along (or mail me via my profile) as it makes life easier for the people that slave away in the kitchen and at the bar...

For the convoy regulars coming from Southend way… we'll meet in the A130 layby as usual so we'll be there about 10:45 - 11:00.

If anyone else wants to see us there we look forward to seeing you…!

Hope to see you on the 9th... and fingers crossed for decent weather... and keep a watchful eye out for as they know where we meet..!

Paddy I am happy to take a winner for an open top experience they will never forget.

Best not to give me anyone old or with a nervous disposition though.

So which one shall I take to the Ball??? Hmmm

Must get some sleep now

Well its been fun and promotes TVRs and the club, 1 year old already how time fly's!

A number of us will not make the June convoy as we will be at Le Mans so be good to get most of the June crowd together at this meet to discuss last minute plans...although think Debs is going to arrange a Le Mans meet shortly.

Alan.

Hi Podie
Yup, we will be at the White Hart this month (taking the long route from Suffolk, what a shame, forced to drive the car further), with the Cerb and probably my brother in his Scooby (so 3 extras for lunch Pauline).

The question is, are we going to beat the 100 Tiv's barrier this month?

Be good to have another on the convoy...

Might break the 100 barrier at the meet.. but I want to beat 53 Tivs on the convoy..!

Yees, well that can be changed pretty quickly - so Podie are you up for the drag challenge? It is a special occasion.... (and I'm not talking burning rubber and quarter miles)....
