once again a very well organised day, awesome speeds from the 9ff cars and a beautiful selection of sexy cars. The CTR managed a 198 mph (192 at top of 5th) but should post something more 'respectable' the next time with shorter ratio gearing which i think is more suited to UK roads and circuits in any case. It was also really good to see some familiar faces and catch up, great day!
BIG Thanks to the Vmax team !

Hi there,
Thanks Craig for a great day. Well organised and professional as always.
Some stunning cars today. Highlights for me were the three LP640's (one coupe, one roadster and Dougs 670SV), the RUF CTR-3, Mercedes SLR722, the very pretty 997 GT2 with Dymag wheels and a very rare Mercedes CLK DTM AMG Convertible.
Heres some pics of the 9ff 996 Convertible - 222mph I believe !!!
and the gorgeous 997, badged as a GTurbo 850
loads more pics later
Regards
Tim

I had a great morning thanks Craig, sorry for being the doofus wanting to drive the wrong way out, just the last thing I heard you say on the radio was you'd stopped all traffic (to the 9ff incident people I guess) so thought you wanted me going the other way.
Anyhow, speaking of that 9ff, it looked bad to me. What happened? Looked a lot more than simple overrun, was everyone ok in the car? It didn't look very well when I went past
Thanks again
SM

Incidents aside (please do let us know how they are), what a great day, thanks to all involved in organising. I couldn't find all those I wanted to say goodbye to so appologies.
I arrived with full tank of fuel and left empty! I matched my personal best 167mph and am happy with that. The old S4 did well.
I did forget to ask if I needed to pay anyone re. a DVD for this event. If there is one please let me know how I can pay.
Oh - the PH'er that took a pic of my speedo on one of the runs - please send me a message so I can let you know my email address. Cheers.

Some serious machinery on display but hope all those involved in the 9ff incident are okay. I must get along to one of these one day.
We had word earlier that Jan was fine..I had an amazing day, thanks to Craig and my co-pilot Stuart.
Great to meet some new faces too
Thanks to Craig and his team for a great event.
Really friendly and informal with plenty of time to do as many runs as you wanted.
There was a very convivial atmosphere with a huge mix of cars and owners, but no snobbery or preciousness which was great to see.
I had a great run against the 599, absolutely neck and neck the whole way. Major kudos to the SLR 722 which just had the legs on Purple Zilla on the main straight. Very impressive.
So where do we get to see the results, as this thread was titled "the result"?
Did the 9ff post a spectacular result prior to its demise? I know its sister car did an astonishing 222mph...
