I've got an E36 318iS and need a new set of rear pads.

Have been told that Green Stuff pads would be a good choice over factory fit items.

What's the general concensus - are they worth the money? Are there any others I should consider?

Thanks in advance,

What's on the front?

If they're standard you may find that as the fronts start to go off, the rears start to really grip - not what you want at all.

Fitted all round, I found them OK but lacking bite until warm (on a TVR not a BMW though). HTH.

The old formula EBC green stuff pads had a very bad rep for destroying discs. The new formula green stuff seems fine to me, I run them on the Cerb without any problems, however some people do find they can squeal.

I keep trying but keep going back to Ferodo DS2500 for the road/track day car and DS3000 for the race car.

I found that the early EBC's didn't have enough bite from cold and the later ones didn't last very long.

However, every set I tried was better than the last and it has been at least two years since I tried any.
