Painting Bare Metal

I'm getting close to finishing the welding on my AE86. I was initially planning on taking it over to the bodyshop and getting them to sort it all but there is a wait to get in so i'm planning on doing a few bits myself. I've had to weld a few bits that aren't going to be seen easily. I'm thinking of painting these bits myself to save money/time come re-spray time.

Things i'm talking about are inside the boot, bottoms of the doors, lower section of the front wings hidden behind side skirts, etc.

What stages do I want to do, going from bare metal. (I'm currently dusting things over with Zinc primer).
