Wheel refurb - Powder v Wet spray finish
Discussion
Need to get my BM wheels refurbed, but do I go with powder coating or traditional wet spraying?
Everyone says powder coating is great until it gets chipped and water can get under it.

I do have a concern over powder coating. I've got a Porsche 3.2 Carrera with original Fuchs. The previous owner had the rims diamond cut and then clear powder coat over the top.
Whilst reversing into the garage a couple of weeks ago I touched a piece of wood with the rim and a finger nail size piece of lacquer chipped off. Really disappointed as the wheels looked superb!!. Will have to get them all stripped and get them anodised as per original finish.
Can you get the original colours in the 2 part epoxy mastic paint? Would it provide a good smooth finish? I thought these paints were typically for chassis and suspension components.
