Am I right in thinking the "wood-free" body was an option?
The "all steel" version was available in the UK from late 1962 although for export a year earlier Went to Battle today.
Didn't see any of LOC's classics (many of which I drove back in the day).
But I was followed by this (not my photo as I was driving)

We have information on our database regarding FAL181C, a Morris Mini Traveller (Estate).
If their information is correct, it's a factory Traveller with an all-steel body, rather than a conversion.shagracer said:
This really is beautiful and in one of my favourite colours for the Series I. I quite like the Honda delivery bike. It is strangely cool looking and appeals to me.How cool is this? I've seen it before at home time in Kingston but managed to get a snap of it last night waiting on Kingston Bridge. Far cooler still was after parting company in Teddington I decided to vary my route home and not use the M4 but use the M3 to Basingstoke instead and then turn north to Newbury. I passed it doing a steady 65 west of Camberley. He's only commuting in it! (And knows better back doubles to the Motorway.)
Top bloke.

I never thought I'd risk being accused of posting something not quite a 'cool classic' on here, but I couldn't resist snapping this in Villefranche-sur-Mer on the Cote d'Azur the other day. It went down well on 'Autoste'...
Might I take the liberty of pointing this... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... ...thread out to you. Apologies if you already know it, but that Volvo would seem to be a perfect candidate for inclusion therein.Martin350 said:

the old chap is using the car at this time of year minus roof it's not SORN'd unlike the majority of 'classics'
I meet a very old boy years ago in one of those at the France end of the Chunnel and as I didn't know what it was at the time I went over and asked him, he also told me each year he toured it through France and would end up at a friend's in Spain and stop there for a week out of the three before making his journey back home to England - so the Lomax owners seem a much hardier bunch than the average 'classic' owner and certainly more so than the average soft modern car owner
I'd be very happy, thrilled and frightened to take a three-wheeled Lomax on a twisty country road rather than seeing how high I can get a speedo needle on a straight road

possibly pizza delivery wasn't as prevalent when that was new, I don't know as I've never had a pizza deliveredMonkeykingZX said:

I'm a bit envious; the 3500S was such a desirable car in the seventies. Still is! The Rover 2000 was a revolution when it came out in the sixties and then to have the V8 fitted... Wonderous. Not posted here in a while, Have seen some nice sights in the last few months, not snapped all of them, because i am too slow
One i am sure some of you have seen, the Jag outside the Imperial Hotel in Delhi
Getting some work done at JAZ - Wembley in the late summer
Nice Chevelle near Venice Beach...most probably not a real SS, but looked great in green
And in Maida Vale (on a summers weekend the best spot for some great classics) this one usually pops up, it is in fantastic condition
Will be better with the camera in future...
