IroningMan, i've seen this car a number of times at BBC audiobooks in Bath (my best friends mother works there) he and i have always been very intrigued, looks
Now known as AudioGO - I run it in to work once or twice a month during the summer. Next time you see it give me a shout via Reception.Having done precisely zip to it over the winter I have a very long job list to get through before I can run it in to the office again - but if it's dry I shall make a start on the worst of it this weekend.
Cheers, the previous owner rebuilt it and gave Me photo's of it before, during and after the restoration. I have always wanted a Vitesse Convertible in Jasmine Yellow....guess what colour it was BEFORE it was rebuilt!!! Wish I could change it back but they repainted everything so I would have to strip the car down completely....which I really dont want to have to do!
Here is mine at the Crich Tramway museum in Derbyshire. If you turn up in your pre 1970 (I think) classic and agree to park your car for 4 hours on their main street (a replica of times gone by with old style trams whizzing up and down) you get in free. The best bit was seeing people checking the car out all day as they walked past. I am biased, but it didn't half look glorious glinting in the sun. This picture still brings a smile to my face now, even though this was two years ago. That and the memory of the sound of the car on the country roads up to Crich from home, in Cheshire, as we hooned along briskly. God I love that car - can't wait for the sun again!

Never seen a Scirocco vert before, what a lovely looking car!
They were done by a a German company called Bieber also another company called Hornstien did some as well. Something similar to our Crayfords etc i suspect.Only 5 RHD were converted It added £5K To the price of a new Scirocco in 1990 so you must have really wanted one to pay that much!
Superb machines on here, nice to see them being used too ;-)
My current two... the Cooper was a lucky find, three owners, original shell and 79k miles with history, had the front wings and rear valance done but never been totally restored, and very nippy for a standard 998, it's quicker off the mark than my previous Mk1 1275 S...!
