Another image from Holman of DPD 9J

It’s thought that this one has survived in poor condition in Scotland.

Another shot of Holman, this time in circa 74, in the Hermatite 3 Litre.
The dark coloured Dolly Sprint could be the Broadspeed car.

The Modena Green RS2000 (NOO 922M) in the background is still being used in historic racing today (well its number plate is wink) and has been seen in recent years racing at the Goodwood MM.

It was 3rd in a sequence of consecutive RS2000 reg numbers used by Ford (NOO 920M and NOO 921M) were both featured on the front covers of the two AVO RS2000 sales brochures. 920M was a white/blue car and 921M was a blue/blue car.
That’s interesting, sure I have seen this film before, think it’s the 74 Avon Tour.
Have you an RS sales brochure ?
Still looking for a Haynes RS screen decal photo.

I don’t recall seeing this shot a Broadspeed Bullit before.
This must be one of the first 3 Litre Bullits built.

BNX 743J , appeared in a feature in Motor Sport and this car was likely the first 3 Litre car built.

This June 71 3000E is currently for sale.
It would have been a wheezy 128hp originally with the awful Zodiac gear ratios.
Advert says it’s a 3.4 litre now.
Personally I think the colour is dire and does it no justice and likewise those Rostyles that the pre circa Sept 71 cars were fitted with.

Thanks for posting this. I then went and purchased it on eBay.

It brings back a lot of memories, I remember my dad have this copy ( he owned a GXL for years ).

I also remember the tyre advert on the back cover, I remember it being very popular at the time.

ortina Rostyles not Capri (less dish) and being on a K 71/72 may have the later 3 rail box and 138BHP motor wink agree though the car looks wrong thumbup
The vastly improved 138hp motor, revised gear ratios, etc etc, wasn’t available until late September 71.
We had OPU 534K, a 71 Ever Green manual 3000E, for a few months in mid 82, bought it from a pal in Loughton. It was a Ford management plan car ( as So many were ) Still trying to establish if it was a 128 or 138hp car, but it didn’t go very well ( as the vast majority were tired @ 10 years old )

No details on this unfortunate 3 Litre GXL, apart from the impact was so severe, that the A post, was touching the gear box tunnel.......

Yes. Easy to spot, but I cannot remember every detail from 1982 about OPU 534K !

Scrapped then...?

'NHK 2xxM' was one of a series of Ford press fleet cars which included the Mk1 3-litre Consul and Mk3 Cortina used in The Sweeney, 'NHK 295M' and 'NHK 296M'.
We are on the case re this RS.
JYS “ had the use “ of NHK 250M, for approx 6 months ( just as BMW works driver Chris Amon, had the use of an Inca 3.0CSL )
This Capri then passed into the hands of SuperSpeed, in Ilford ( they were very well connected with Ford ) a pals Dad had his biz just over the Rd from SuperSpeed and was a good customer of theirs. He bought the RS and it shared a garage in Chigwell, with a 246GT Dino.
Eventually it was sold, probably after a year.
My pal last saw the JYS Capri, in circa 1977. It had a large dent in one front wing. We believe that it was subsequently involved in another shunt. The trail goes cold from there........

I personally prefer the 69 - 72 cars, as they are the purest and the ones that I grew up around.
The dash however, is way better on the Face Lift car.
