Haha, yes it was warm today :-)

The Interceptor was running great when I collected it from Kilburn today but we had a bit of 'unwanted heat' on the Euston Road which resulted in a short period of bonnet-up cooling.

That is one handsome car, I had the same story with a paintjob, time drags on, you as a trusting person believe the bull they keep telling you, then eventually you have enough.

At least you have the car back at home, good luck with the small claims court, its one of those horrible lessons learnt when you know you would never do the same to someone else.

Well,it really is a disappointing world.

Turns out that the same directors in the same premises have re-started a coachworks.

Given that the original company is no longer in business it is probably reasonable to say that my experiences were with a company called Overdrive classics - google and check out the postings on Practically Classics (limited to the owner, his friend, me and another very annoyed customer) to see the full rather shocking story.

Regrettably such underhand methods are not uncommon in some businesses the car trade being one of those affected. In the Insolvenncy world I used to be involved in before retirement, it used to be called "Change the Name the Game's the Same" &Co as a reference to the intentions of those involved.

Some individuals regularly use such processes to allow them an easy life. On many occasions I have known cars broken up and sold and wrongfully traded on. I know of no entirely foolproof way of avoiding this but obtaining recommendations and keeping very tight eyes on the reality of the process are possibly the best defences. Very difficult to stop and I am very glad you got your car back which was something.

I wish!

The two showing on their website look fantastic.

Mine was only collected on Tuesday so very early days yet. When the car reaches a happy ending I'll post some updates.

Also, if anyone else suffered at the hands of The Oil gallery / Vintage Dubs / Overdrive Classics / Bucks Classic Coachworks of Mursley then please do get in touch.
