It might look like a pimped up Mk3 Cortina but it's the under-rated (IMHO) 1968 Mercury Montego.

116 ? Oh right, it had a wheelbase of 116".

next …any Clio fans ?

..if we exclude micro cars, bubble cars and 3 wheelers I reckon we're just over 1/2 way to our first "proper" car engine cc - the Honda N360 at 354.

Uncanny.. just about to post this . MG produced 4 EX182 chassis for Le Mans '55 - 3 raced whilst this is the spare in "lowlight" form pictured
in 1958.

Got as high as 888, but that included a lot of tractors.....
Oops, wasn't aware of that but let's see how far we can climb this time, Peugeot 183…

A few years ago you could pick one of these up for a few bob.

Unfortunately people began to realise that it is rather a good car, solid money now :

- to the ridiculous.

As a BRM enthusiast this one pains me to this day. BRM's last gasp P207 "Stanley Steamer".

Only qualified for one GP during the 1977 season and even then it was 7 seconds off the pace. Did not arrive for the Argentinian GP - as it was too wide to fit in the hold of the cargo plane transporting the F1 cars from Europe.

It then competed in the British (Aurora) F1 series - to be fair it did sound glorious (but that's about it).

As the OP I will casually oversee this thread. A baling machine with a flat tyre will not cut the mustard.

So I will retrospectively insert, without reparations, a Citroen DS as entered in the ill-fated 1957 Mille Miglia.

Nope that's fine by me. Anything measured in hp/BHP will do the job.

Power outputs in kWh should be confined to light bulbs/ fridges etc and certainly not automobiles.
