Alfa Romeo Spider Type 4
Discussion
Hi Albert! You missed a great run today - along the WWI front line around Ieper.
Took the Spider and the GTV - as usual we kept swapping around so everyone got a drive.

Parking up in Ieper for a drink stop.

Pieter & Els in the Spider at the lunch stop.
First dry day in ages. Took the scenic route home and stopped to pick blackberries. (Lut is now making jam).
Unfortunately I always forget to take pictures, so I can't post a lot of the good bits.![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)

What are the alloys on the Spider?
Don't know - they were on it when I bought it. The spare is the traditional S4 "pepperpot", but I prefer these. Will take a look and post a close-up photo tomorrow

P.S. Pieter should get the credit for the shiny alloys - he spent most of yesterday afternoon cleaning them!
My cars are more (ab)used than cossetted, the wheels aren't normally that shiny!

Until the 8C it was the last RWD Alfa:
I think the last of the RZs were later than the last of these. They're lovely cars, though. ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Anyway, not to detract from the subject of the thread - these are glorious cars, and look to be a credit to their owners.

A bit of googling led me (via the splendidly-named wheel w

Quoting from their website (which I hope is allowed) gave me mixed feelings -
"We are RONAL GROUP, we are a leading manufacturer of light alloy wheels

![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)
This cheered me up -
"All the high-end cars of renowned manufacturers like Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Porsche equip cars with SPEEDLINE wheels."
(Photo also shows that Pieter missed a bit!)
It's OK - I've ordered new parts from Alfaholics - went for upgraded race/fast road kit (also ordered a performance suspension kit for the GTV
).
It'll be here on Thursday. Playtime!!
Edit: May have inadvertently spent more than the £4 bush. Basically asked them to send me what they thought would be best!

Start of the Gijs Van Lennep Legend rally - every one minute a car lifts off and often with a great soundbyte. The overhead cam Nord was no exception.

Nice one. The S4 is such a great all round car. Any problems?
It's had a few hydraulic issues due to lack of use & the clutch pivot arm needed welding in France last year.I also did this which led to the full re-spray

Needed a new wheel, wing & nose cone together with the alloy splash panel but thankfully, inner wing, chassis & structure completely unaffected.
