ACA has delayed its Spring auction to May, which suits me because I'm filming on the original date and there's a car in the auction I wanted to buy. However as a result of the delay the list of entries is temporarily offline.

DA, do at least come up to see the car, I will be going to the viewing day on Friday early evening, and (unless the car I'm interested in looks very wrong) also on Saturday. If you haven't been to ACA before it's quite a jolly day out.
It would be a good experience. Hell of a schlep though. Would probably cost me more in petrol than the car would cost. biggrin

My first thought is that they've moved it to be well clear of April 6th as there are so many changes due in the budget that have an indirect impact on the domestic classic car market. That combined with the general economic worries hitting the global markets I think are causing a lot of buyers to just sit tight and await a little more clarity?
Very likely, especially as I'm expecting pension contributions to be made pointless, illegal or both for any higher rate taxpayer. Which is why I for one was already planning to stick what would otherwise have been the 2016/17 quota into a suitable motah.

Weirdly, ACA now appears to have removed the reference on its website to the next Classics auction being delayed, and the 9 April catalogue is back up.
