What would 1 wheel drive be like on snow ?

At least the engine is over the wheel and lacking in power.

Looks like 2 rear wheels close together.

The Jaguar? Is it not real? Possibly imported, hence the more recent (than 1959!) registration?

Peeps who know more about them than me will be more qualified to comment but you couldn't register it with that plate if it was an original ...

RHD so not imported (is my guess) ... and any self-respecting REAL XK150 owner would want it on some old original silver and black plate ... so a kit in my view.

That looks exactly like a real XK150 to me.

Looks real to me too, also doubt a kit car manufacturer would try to replicate the fhc.
Strange about the plate though, South African import car?

The details seem to check out. Jaguar built in 1959 and first registered here in 1979.

1959 3.8

MOT exempt

taxed until March..

Years ago, DVLA were stupid enough to issue 'new' reg numbers to older cars. This is probably one of these. DVLA are still often stupid of course, but now do not allow cars to have newer reg than their year manufacture.

An XK 150S is the ultimate derivative of the model. Not too sure what the "P" means though.

If the car had been stored or kept in a collection unregistered and was then put on the road between 1 August 1977 – 31 July 1978 then it would have been issued an "S" suffix number.

Also, if it was imported into the Country from abroad between 1 August 1977 – 31 July 1978 then again, the DVLA would have issued it the "S" suffix plate.

In both cases the owner could then have put an earlier registration plate on the car from when the car was manufactured if they wanted to.

It could have been imported from South Africa, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Zimbabwe to name but a few!

TBH, It's far more likely that this car either remained unregistered somewhere until sometime between 1 August 1977 – 31 July 1978, or was imported during that period.

It could have been imported from a country with right hand traffic too. Here at least is quite common to see old English cars with rhd and some have been here for many decades.
