COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST!!! Vol 2
Discussion
Peeps who know more about them than me will be more qualified to comment but you couldn't register it with that plate if it was an original ...
RHD so not imported (is my guess) ... and any self-respecting REAL XK150 owner would want it on some old original silver and black plate ... so a kit in my view.

The Jaguar? Is it not real? Possibly imported, hence the more recent (than 1959!) registration?Roy C said:
That looks exactly like a real XK150 to me.
1959 3.8MOT exempt
taxed until March..
Years ago, DVLA were stupid enough to issue 'new' reg numbers to older cars. This is probably one of these. DVLA are still often stupid of course, but now do not allow cars to have newer reg than their year manufacture.

If the car had been stored or kept in a collection unregistered and was then put on the road between 1 August 1977 – 31 July 1978 then it would have been issued an "S" suffix number. Also, if it was imported into the Country from abroad between 1 August 1977 – 31 July 1978 then again, the DVLA would have issued it the "S" suffix plate.
In both cases the owner could then have put an earlier registration plate on the car from when the car was manufactured if they wanted to.

It could have been imported from a country with right hand traffic too. Here at least is quite common to see old English cars with rhd and some have been here for many decades. Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
