The sad thing is mate people are laughing at you, not with you.
- to laugh at me, that explains your need to post here, carry on, mate
we're all mates here, mate
I expect you've sorted your disc arrangements but just need to check here, just in case you've got it wrong or misheard or misunderstood, more info coming in all the time, well some of the time

nta16: Did you genuinely think you were being clever or funny posting this st?
yes 1) Order pizza's to be delivered to random addresses.
2) Create a fake ebay account using false details and then be the highest bidder on items you've no intention of buying.
3) Contact people selling cars and make arrangements to view the car and then never turn up.
4) Arrange to view houses for sale and then never turn up.
5) When people stop and ask for directions, send them off in completely the wrong direction.
What jolly japes you could have!

Here's a couple more things you could try doing for fun as wasting peoples time / causing misdirections seems to be your thing:
. . .
What jolly japes you could have!
seems like you're the only one left taking this seriously. . .
What jolly japes you could have!
missing from your list:
scare stories about ethanol raping our cattle and stealin' our womenfolk
the absolute need for excessive amounts of ZDDP in our oil
the way the EU / Government / DVLA are out to get people like yourself
just about any story from the Daily Fail
I'm sorry you fell for what was literally signed posted, twice, as a joke to help the slow witted like yourself realise it wasn't true
btw, those lead-balls for your petrol tank are in the post and I believe you may be getting some very good news from a Nigerian General too, well, you deserve all the luck you get

fantastic! I bet there are at least two posters to this thread who'd be very interested in purchasing those
this is what the internet is about, bringing valuable information out that is normally hidden or suppressed by THEM, in this case I'd guess the oil companies, Government and EU for the taxes
I'm getting two for my car to double the savings and sticking it to the oil companies, EU and Government and I expect the DVLA have there finger in this too somehow
whatever happened to those little strips that people used to hang off the back of their cars in the 1980's (i think it was some great idea about them earthing the car to improve fuel economy - or stop them blowing up at petrol stations, one of the two). Did they just go out of fashion?

Trading Standards threw the book at the manufacturers back in the day, as they were of no use whatsoever. They should be an essential item for anyone looking to restore a Ford Escort XR3i
I thought they were just to take static electric from the car but it seems with this additional info another jolly good idea stolen from us by corrupted officials, more dirty dealings from those oil companies, EU, Government and probably DVLA
someone should contact the Daily Fail and give them the story on this

provisions have to be made by yourself - a tax disc holder, rather like those on motorbikes, has to be permanently fixed to the rear deck of the car
they don't just bring these things out without thinking them through you knowSeanyD said:

it's true that from today you don't have to display a tax disc on your front windscreen
BUT - (little known fact)
if your paper tax disc is still current, i.e. runs out after 30/9/14 then it should be displayed in the rear window until it expires
I took the tax disc out of my rear window, reversed the car into the garage, but I'm unable to replace the tax disc as I can't get to the rear window now the car is garaged. I'll have to re-affix it in the morning.BUT - (little known fact)

Will I be OK or will I incur a fine ?
