So much to like here! A good few Japanese for me to look at, including the very odd Datsun 200SX, plus some proper 1960s/70s land yachts.
What is the little blue coupe at back left, between the Beetle and the wood panelled station wagon?

Yes I think so too. Is the white car two cars from the Ghia ( ie with its back to us) a Scirocco??

Looks a bit wide (compared to the Rabbit/Golf two rows nearer).

Is it a Mk2 Capri ?

There's a blue VW Type3 Fastback in there. The left hand of the two centre 'vertical' rows. Four up from the bottom.

Oh! And better still! An AMC Pacer, facing the white roofed VW Bus.

Party on!

I'd agree on the white car being a Capri and the red sporty one an Opel GT.

Of the other Europeans, the VWs and Volvo are to be expected but that Fiat 128 must have been quite unusual?

I'd have said that was a Ford Pinto.

Nice VW Type 2 Westfalia and Splitty.

Whar is the white car next to the empty space on the left. Mk2 Capri? Did they have them in the States.

Definitely not a BGT, the chrome strip at the bottom of the 2 side windows should be horizontal on the B, the one in the picture curves up towards the rear of the car nerd

The Pinto goes on the 'Worst cars of all time' list, but not because it was a particularly bad car, but because it had a rather volatile nature. The car tended to erupt in flame in rear-end collisions. The Pinto is at the end of one of autodom's most notorious paper trails, the Ford Pinto memo , which ruthlessly calculates the cost of reinforcing the rear end ($121 million) versus the potential payout to victims ($50 million). Conclusion? Let 'em burn.
