This was taken about a year ago but when I went past the other day, it has almost been completely engulfed by the surrounding foliage. Shame really .
Pretty sure this has been photographed a few years ago, probably in this hallowed thread. IIRC it may have had a yellow one beside it as well?A total, crying, sickening shame regardless.
If I recall correctly the only '02 offered with a single central Kienzle clock was the 2002tii (Touring Injection International). This was fitted with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection giving 130bhp instead of the standard Solex carburettored car with 100bhp. This was way back before BMW started using the 'Touring' name for their estate cars. The same mechanical fuel injection was also used on the ubiquitous 2002 Turbo with 170bhp which had a a little central fitted extra instrument pod with a boost gauge and again, a Kienzle clock.
Edit to add; I have just noticed the hanging down choke cable so it probably isn't a 'tii' as they had an electronically controlled cold start valve.

From memory they bought out all the stock and rights to Reliant when they ceased trading. For a while you could still buy new Robins off them, assembled from old stock. It's been there for a long time now.E24man said:

The 2002 Touring and Tii models were sold concurrently,so not strictly true on your "way before" bit.Edit to add; I have just noticed the hanging down choke cable so it probably isn't a 'tii' as they had an electronically controlled cold start valve.

A very early Series 1 Discovery in Basingstoke; small headlights and no tail lights in the rear bumper.
The owner has the V5 and has turned down offers of £200. No sunroof so possibly less rot in the floor than some. No engine or steering box. Moving it would be exciting.
I once saw a 106 Rallye in a driveway covered in about a foot of pine needles, it was green but was I suspect white underneath.
Knock on the door, " hello, just wondering if the Rallye is for sale "
"Absolutely not i'm restoring it at the minute"
that was about two years ago and it is still sitting in the same spot.

If you're going to be pedantic then at least be correct. Sorry just being pedantic....
Strictly speaking there has never been a '2002 Touring' as all the 3 door models were labelled up as either '1600 Touring', '1800 Touring', '2000 Touring' or the duplicitously named '2000 tii Touring'.
The 'Touring International' title was first used in 1964 for the '1800 TI' New Class 4 door saloon and the 'Touring' name was first used seven years later in 1971 with the introduction of the 3 door hatchbacks listed above based upon the '02 range.

I had no idea of the history.. Interesting.I do remember cycling past it in 1988 whilst on a 1000 mile tour of East Anglia. This is the first time I have come across it since. Brought back some great memories.
It is located in New Buckenham.
I had a chat with the owner. Let's just say that he is, erm, different !!!
