I feel I should know where the Abingdon one is as I lived there for nine years ('76-'85), but I think that bit went early 70s for the one-way system (which I think bizarrely is now two-way again) ...
bath street I think .. still there but blocked off by that one way street (stratton way) that's now 2 way (Abingdon schoolboy late 60's!)

The DVLA don't recognise GUB843K so it probably went to the crusher before the DVLA supercomputer became sentient in 1983 or thereabouts, but UB is a Leeds registration, so oop north seems likely.

On that theme of the Police car, I found a few recently, these were titled Birmingham Police through the years:

Plus a Velocette LE, the "Noddy Bike":

And finally a nice Jaguar Police car at Leatherslade farm during the Great Train Robbery enquiry:

Nevermind the Jaguar, that's an 80in Land-Rover in the background. And an 88in.

Velocette LE, the legendary Whispering Death evil Not seen one of those horrible pressed-steel monstrosities for ages. I always thought it was a cruel joke giving them to the coppers and expecting them to not die in the process of running down perps

One of the two Landrovers they used plus that ex-Army truck still exists, the cab of the truck was painted yellow at the farm, Gordon Goody caught a few drops on his shoes which was used in evidence against him during the trial. Strangely, both Landies wore the same reg' number. Bruce Reynolds' original plan was to used a fleet of ten Mk2 Jags but the idea was dropped when he realised they might look a bit suspect at 3am down a dark country lane!

More period shots taken on the morning of the robbery, including the same Jag seen at the farm...

The Mk1 Lotus Cortina which Reynolds' used to recce the route from the farm to the bridge and back again is still around too (BMK 723A), a few years ago it was up for auction.

Yup, Met.Pol LE....1964 registered, must be among the last batch for the Met?

My late father did his 'Noddy' course at Hendon Driving School in 1960, and got knocked off it by a drunk driver the following year.

Macca in his Radford Cooper S with Lennon at Abbey Road, early '67...

Beatle George at Heathrow in October '66 with his black Fezza 275GTB...

Clapton with George's psychedelic Radford Cooper S at Abbey Road, late '68, George sold it to Eric but bought it back a few years later...

The Lennons with newly acquired 911 in October '67, which he crashed and sold on soon afterwards...

Twigs with her first Mini in '67...

One for the bad parking thread maybe... Macca in Savile Row with his Radford S in '68...

Late '65 in the car park at Abbey Road, Lennon has just passed his test in George Martin's Herald, the following day he went out and bought a Ferrari 330GTC...

Lennon's RR Phantom V outside his Weighbridge gaff in Spring '67, plus Cyn's BMC 1100 parked up near the garage...

Jagger's DB6 gets a thump in town, 1966...

Doesn't stop me to post more images of the Land-Rovers used in the robbery:

An its doors. They fall off every now and then.

On the left is the Monopoly they played with real money from the loot.

Here, have two of their cars they bought after the robbery:
