Managed a closer look earlier today, it is an AEC (thanks AndyM). To find it, take the turning for the Notcutts/Wheatcrofts Garden Centre. Opposite the entrance are two houses that look abandoned. The truck is in the front garden of the house on the right. If you continue along the road and reach a business park, you've gone to far.
This has gone quite recently so someone somewhere loves it.sim16v said:
It's not a Cadillac, it's a Chevrolet of some sort, possibly a Malibu or Caprice saloon from around '74.
The Y reg is possibly from when it was imported.
Okay, thanks. I was going on pics of American cars of that era, the Cadillacs did look very similar. The Y reg is possibly from when it was imported.

Does it belong to someone you know, or just a random lockup you happened upon?I try to resurrect old cars, and I happen to be in Gateshead....

Another one for the collection sim!
Maybe, I always wanted a '70s American detective/pimp style car 2slo said:
I was passing by when I saw it. Its in one of the dealers arch garages just before you get to the Tyne bridge. G Scott cars IIRC.
Thanks for the info, I'll have a nose about tomorrow... Plate checks out as imported in '83 and tax last due in Jan '94.

If this was abandoned in London wouldn't it be covered in parking tickets and or towed away
Looking at the green moss/dirt that has collected perfectly around the car, I'd say it hasn't been moved for quite a while! A quick google of: "Ferrari 456gt abandoned in Knightsbridge" reveals this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/28370466@N05/1672334...
This looks pretty abandoned to Me:
