Any Austin Princess experts? (not the BL ones!)

Found what I think are 3 of the Limousine versions of these in an old abandoned scrapyard.
They are in a lean-to which has unfortunately collapsed onto the cars.

From looking at pics on the internet 2 of them look like A135 models and one a MkIV?
Can anyone confirm this please?

Nope smile
ETA
Yes it could be - evidenced by the missing chrome trim below the window line - Crestas were usually 2 tone

As recovered and will probably get proper treatment now, four years laid to rest and rust and rust. !!

Yes, with an interesting rear wheel. Abandoned project perhaps?

The first one is an HA Viva by the way. smile

All I remember about these is that they rotted like mad across the crimped seams on the top of the wings, and they had a transverse front leaf spring, which made bottom ball joints a nightmare to replace.

If you read VW Camper & Bus, people restore those from two chassis legs & half a side door. hehe

This is true. If you read the original ad, this will probably be described as A***** condition with minor rust.

I'm not sure which is in the more sad state, the car or the trailer?

Thanks
Hah. I've got slides of those Princesses and quite a few others that I took 22 years ago. Fantastic scrappy. They used to check you for cameras before you went in. There were lots of pre-war cars in the woods. I always assumed that they were "missing" cars, which is why the owners of the scrapyard weren't too happy about snoopers.
I'll have to dig the slides out and scan them. I'm assuming it's the same place (there can't be many with three Princesses in a shed). Was it Norfolk, by any chance?

Wow, yes please! Would love to see what this place was like! Yes its in Norfolk, had heard the owner was a little eccentric, wouldnt sell any of the vehicles - eg the fire engines which are now sadly past it.

If it's Norfolk, don't go snooping. They'll have you squealing like a piggy - you can't rely on Burt Reynolds turning up with his crossbow.

(Before the complaints start, I'm from Norwich)

Laid up here in Singapore - unusual as most cars are scrapped by law. I'm guessing a Toyota of some sort
but no badges to help. Hideous whatever.

That looks like an old Mitsubishi Galant, or maybe an Australian built copy, called a Lonsdale I seem to recall. They sold them for a while in the UK, early 80s.

Definitely a Mitsubishi, though I was going to suggest a Sigma. From just before the time that Malaysia started rebadging Mitsubishis as Protons, which is why there are so many in Malaysia and Singapore.

Oliver.
