Which the Cortina or the Rover? I'm glad you've said it, I was going to say that very few classic cars are improved by fitting modern wheels. Neither of these are improvements to my eyes.
The Jensen Alloys are a very period and cool mod for a P5B..The alloys are from the same era!!

I rather like the Jenson alloys on the P5b, not so sure about the oversized modern wheels on the Cortina, A set of nice period alloy wheels would set it off a treat.

The alloys on the rover aren't to my taste, sporty wheels on a grand barge. But hell, it's not my car, enjoy,
I am loving driving an older car, an event at any speed, which is what we need really now.

My old runaround again, now with rebuilt engine!

Cheers MarshPhantom. I had a Fulvia Coupe prior to this. This is a Mk2 Fulvia Sport Zagato, I've not had it long, needs headlining sorting and a decent paint job, but a great driving car.

Nice indeed, and welcome. With cars like that, you should post more often!

That's really what it has come down to. The absolute essential element of the classic car is that it remains a driving experience when you are stuck in a queue of cars doing half the speed limit and not just for the few occasions that the road ahead is clear.

Yep. Took the Lagonda over to Aldermaston yesterday morning, about 25 miles away. Didn't go over 50 but it was a great drive! biggrin

I used to love the savage esque wheels which would make that car very very sleeper.

Lancia Fulvia Zagato. Not THAT rare, but hardly common either.

time to get the XKR MOT'd and back on the road again. I have been toying with selling it for over 12months due to lack of use but a few years ago I sold my XJS 6.0l and regretted it from the moment I handed over the keys.

Far rarer than you'd think. In Zagato form the UK, 250-300 cars, possibly less? Does anyone know? Came very close to buying a super Zagato last year, orange with a black vinyl roof...these are one of those 'pretty' cars that causes the proverbial itch. OP, that's a great looking Fulvia you have there...always thought the Zagato was screaming out for a bigger and higher output engine.
