Is that engine not a 5-cylinder? What would that point at? Audi? Volvo?

Thanks for the identification. I'd guessed the wheels would be the key.

Not Thetford btw, it's on the common just outside Midhurst in West Sussex.

The front wing looks to have a BMW crease in it (an intentional one) and I counted 12 rockers so a 6 cylinder engine.

You're probably right, the first pair appear to be slightly off centre which is why I didn't count them but perhaps they've been smashed.

Might well be a BMW E30, but the wheel isn't the correct BBS manufactured BMW alloy wheel.

The BBS have twist on centre caps, that wheel photo shows a hole for a retaining screw to hold the centre caps on....
