I think its 12 rockers and a BMW M20 lump, hole for the water pump and cam belt idler match M20 too.

The front wing looks to have a BMW crease in it (an intentional one) and I counted 12 rockers so a 6 cylinder engine.

You're probably right, the first pair appear to be slightly off centre which is why I didn't count them but perhaps they've been smashed.

Might well be a BMW E30, but the wheel isn't the correct BBS manufactured BMW alloy wheel.

The BBS have twist on centre caps, that wheel photo shows a hole for a retaining screw to hold the centre caps on....

I'd guess being stolen and burnt out is a good way of voiding the body perforation guarantee.
